gwmwatch I am fully aware who was being quoted in Acts 5 but according to you and all those like-minded scripture is not separated by what humans say and what God says.

You know full well that this line of scripture and the entire bible is taught as being the “Word of God” Or are you recanting on your belief that the entire bible from Genesis to Revelations is the inerrant Word of God and All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness.

GCMW: I didnt refute the scripture (nor the veracity and applicability of scripture), just your hypocrisy is using it in an attempt to umbrella your own sin.

Perhaps only when it benefits your argument that you point out the distinctions of what a person said versus what God said. Either you believe the whole bible is the Word of God–what God says or dismiss a majority of your arguments on this website. You can’t have it both ways.

Mark, in the comment just prior to that she denounced the pharisees,

Kind of reminds me of the religious elite of Jesus’ day. It’s funny how it was the self-righteous religious leaders that Jesus had the most problem with during his ministry don’t you think?”

But as soon as something pops up where she can use the words of the “self righteous religious leaders” to her advantage, she jumps on it.

Jesus didnt like hypocrites at all. Neither do I.

Nice call GCMW on that utter misuse of Acts 5! That adivce was indeed given by a Pharisee; in essence it was just like saying “if it works it is of God, if it doesn’t it wasn’t” That’s what a coward would say inorder to avoid the utter clarity of God’s word.

In your comment in the article, “Other denominations should take note. If you want your church destroyed and turned over to demonic influence, it will happen if you sit passively and do nothing,” keep in mind that during the Reformation of Martin Luther’s time, the “orthodox” church just knew that the followers of Reform were evil, heretical and totally outside the Will of God. But although the Catholic church pulled together and probably became more cohesive due to the Reformation, what came out of the Reformation is every Protestant church around the world to include 99% of the doctrines represented on this site.

What am I saying? It would be wise to follow the wisdom outlined in Acts chapter 5, “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone, for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought; but if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest haply you be found even to fight against God.”

GCMW: You quoted the very “religious elite” you seem to disdain when it doesnt settle with your ungodly agenda. Homosexuality is evil and the gay christian movement is heretical because they teach others to disobey God and lie against his Spirit. Dont try to use scripture to justify and cover your wickedness.

UNBELEIVABLE!!!

To claim that a gay peron being selected to hold the office and position of a Bishop is a work of the Holy Spirit is pure nonsense! I am shocked at the very idea of that happening anywhere in the world, but we are indeed in the end times. I am begining to see why people (specifically youth) have a desensitization to the church built in their minds. When the front runners and leaders of the church are preparing the way for the antichrist’s coming, to many people, church is the last place they’re trying to be!

…and some folks say you can’t commit the unpardonable sin. This example should be yet another blaring warning of just how far some professed “Christians” disguise themselves in a deliberate rejection of God! They can’t deny what God has already said and done – so they attribute Satan’s work to God’s power. That is what I would call the fullest possible rejection known to man. They trifle with God’s holiness and like a poisonous snake their mouths reveal the utter wickedness.

“every carless word…” carries the full impact. Lord help us!
