I really enjoyed reading your commentary and it was a great blessing. Very encouraging! I love that 6 chapter of Is, one of my favorite passages to meditate on. Like Isaiah when I look at the Glory of the Lord, and the blackness of my sins, I say woe is me! But thank God for his precious blood which washes away sin AND cleanses unrighteousness.

“Your true spiritual condition and thus your true need for salvation cannot be measured by the “Uzziah’s” in your life. For some, the church is an “uzziah” serving only to obfuscate an accurate picture of God and consequently an accurate picture of self”.

Thank you Pastor Foster, this quote sums up my teen-ager’s relationship with God and the church. Young, impressionable and cannot understand how people can love God in the church building, but love the world outside the building.
Thankfully we have a solid relationship and I’m able to share God’s truth to clear up the distortions. I know God is faithful and will continue to draw my child to Him~
