Michael Beckwith should have been in the movie "Good Hair" with Chris Rock!!!

I agree with Tony D. on this one. I believe the apostle John spoke well of Carlton and any other "inclusionists" when he said they went from us to show that they were not ever a part of us.I believe the apostle Peter also spoke well of them in 2nd Peter 2...
"a sow returns to the mud and a dog licks up it's own vomit."

What got me was the catch phrase at the end "find your church, find yourself" what about "find your church, find Jesus and then lose yourself!" Another attempt by the church to make provisions for sin. Jesus is truly coming back soon.

According to the video, "God is still speaking"

This begs the questions as to whether what He is saying today contradicts what He has already said in His Word.

Certainly God had commandments with a designed obsolesce in the OT, such as the sacrificial system which contained mere shadows and types of what was to be fulfilled in Christ.

THAT is what the Epistle to the Hebrews is all about.

But, this doesn't mean that God is calling "good" today was He called "evil" yesterday, for even in the NT He upheld the same standard for sexual ethics.

In fact, on sexual ethic issues the NT is even more strict that the OT since the redemptive plan of God was to bring man BACK to the ideal relationship that existed before the Fall. (Matthew 19:3-9)

So, while the OT was redemptive and corrective of the fall and set in place a trajectory that restricted slavery, polygamy and so forth the NT by implication of its redemptive character took it a step further. (Read Philemon) The slavery laws were not intended to be "static" or normative for all time.

So, is God still speaking today?

Yep, although he overlooked many sins in the past, today He is calling everyone everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:3)

Thanks pastor, read the article in its full contents/context extremely "insightful", and right on point. For this is the "LOVE" of God I've come to understand/receive w/my finite capability. If I may, in the beginning of my walk w/Christ, I asked him under the unction of the Holy Spirit, what was this walk w/him all about, and he spoke to my heart, and said its about "LOVE" and its the thing you've all forgotten about. From that point on, I've been seeking after, "the more excellent way." Forgive me going off topic.

Pastor and Bro., Jerald,

I know this is off topic, but I was wondering could a discussion be opened about the "LOVE" of God. For that last (2) blog sessions, we constantly heard the phrase, "just love them." Which we know most people will echoe to justify and make excuses for sin, and attempt to hide behind the "LOVE" of Christ. I believe some of those, who would attempt such a thing need to be disarmed, and taught about the true nature of God's "LOVE." Even those of us who already have a poignant relationship need to know more, and be challenged more, in understanding his love, as Paul would say, "oh that I might know him." Just a thought brothers'.

<strong>GCMW: We may have touched on that already <a href="http://www.gcmwatch.com/1461/is-gods-love-greater-than-gods-judgment" rel="nofollow">in this post</a>.</strong>

Carlton entertains a lot of homosexual company in public setting. He was ordained by a lesbian "bishop."

<b>To Julie</b>

All homosexuals are welcome in my Church. But most don't stay past one visit since the Presence of God dwells amongst us. Something about the darkness being exposed by the light and conviction setting in. We can't help but show them compassionate love hug them and invite them to hear a Word from the Living God. Is there anything better?

I know men personally who have been broken free from porn and masturbation so surely, surely Christ can deliver a homosexual, man I got to beleive it.....;^)
