southerndude, thanks for not supporting homosexuality.

Let's make a little comparison based on your examples.

1. How many homosexuals have been "put to death" in Uganda? Estimates w/documentation are acceptable.
2. How many Jews (including homosexuals) were put to death in Germany under Hitler?

You do the math. If you dont like Uganda's sovereignty, catch the next flight out and go do something about it. Please let us know what you accomplished.

Plus, I havent "favored" any legislation. I favor God's word.

If you want to use the Ugandan sovereignty argument in favor of legislation that puts homosexuals to death, then you must also have disagreed with the decision of the US to enter WWII. After all, Germany was a sovereign nation.

And no, I do not condone homosexuality. But that's a rather short-sighted argument to use.

I would also like to make another point. Too often people claim the likes of Warren and others give milk instead of meat regarding scripture. I have come to the conclusion that these hucksters don’t even provide milk but rather venom.

These people need outright repentance and to apologize for their deceit. Unfortunately “ the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil”.

So that being said are these people any different then Judas? Did not Judas claim to be a disciple and was he not counted among the original twelve?

The reason I mention this is because as I have studied and prayed it seems apparent that many of these individuals may not be actually saved. Think about it. The gospel is an OFFENSE. If the world loves you and people fawn over you then something is very wrong.

Now this does not mean you need to cause contention among the people of the world. The Bible clearly teaches we are to live peaceably among people. However, with matters of truth we are to be steadfast even if it causes anger, rejection, and yes even your life.

Rick Warren if he had true conviction should have stated to Melisa Etheridge that as a Christian he could not endorse such a lifestyle. He should have given her the Gospel message as a message of hope, deliverance, peace, and love.

But here is the crux. For him to have done that would have brought the ire of the media and would have put a blight on his “image”. Rick Warren if he is saved should worry how God vies him and not the how the world does.

A lot of things are taking place in Africa, when Benny Hinn talked about appearing on stage with jesus in Kenya, then the maitreya appeared with catholic nuns, it was a warning to everyone.

These P.E.A.C.E. plans and denominionist visions are dangerous for Africa.

Today you have prosperity messages being preached up and down the land. It is ridiculous but it is happening.

Kyle, very true and thanks for bringing that to light. Warren has proven over and over that he will say whatever will curry favor with the group/person confronting him. It reminds me of Larry, Darren's boss of the show Bewitched.

I wonder what he will say to Ssempra now that he has been confronted as a two faced turncoat by the Ugandans.

I think there is a subtext to this article that has not been explored. Tricky Ricky speaks out both sides of his mouth. After Tricky Ricky gave the Prayer at President Barry’s inauguration many gay and lesbians came out against Obama’s choice of Rick Warren to lead the prayer.

Among other things, the LGBT community claimed that Warren was “anti-gay” and questioned the Presidents choice.

In fact, singer songwriter Melissa Etheridge who is gay was just one of many voices who openly protested Warren. In response Warren contacted the singer of which here is a transcript of what transpired after Trick Ricky personally called Etheridge.

Etheridge decided to talk with Warren beforehand.

"On the day of the conference I received a call from Pastor Rick, and before I could say anything, he told me what a fan he was," Etheridge wrote.

"He had most of my albums from the very first one."

Added the recording artist, "This didn’t sound like a gay hater, much less a preacher.

"He explained in very thoughtful words that as a Christian he believed in equal rights for everyone. He believed every loving relationship should have equal protection.

"He struggled with proposition 8 because he didn’t want to see marriage redefined as anything other than between a man and a woman.

"He said he regretted his choice of words in his video message to his congregation about proposition 8 when he mentioned pedophiles and those who commit incest. He said that in no way, is that how he thought about gays."

Added Etheridge, "He invited me to his church, I invited him to my home to meet my wife and kids. He told me of his wife’s struggle with breast cancer just a year before mine."

The singer-songwriter wrote, "When we met later that night, he entered the room with open arms and an open heart. We agreed to build bridges to the future."

The complete exchange can be seen here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/melissa-etheridge/the-choice-is-ours-now_b_152947.html

In conclusion, Rick Warren will do and say anything for his own image and gain.
