Portsmouth OH mayor rejects gay marriage invite
Citing his biblical beliefs, the mayor of Portsmouth, Ohio quickly rejected a homosexual city councilman’s invitation to join a gay rights political group and set off a developing war of words. But dont be fooled, black leaders who won’t skin and grin like Sharpton and Jackson are hated by agenda-driven gays. Remember Mayor Osby Davis in Vallejo, California?
According to the Portsmouth Daily Times, Kevin Johnson sent Mayor David Malone an email telling him to get on board the gay marriage train but was met with quick and stiff resistance. Johnson wanted the mayor to sign onto a gay marriage support statement simply because other mayors had done so.
“The Mayors for Freedom statement reads, in part, “As mayors of great American cities, we proudly stand together in support of the freedom of same-sex couples to marry. We personally know many gay and lesbian people living in our cities who are in committed, loving relationships, who are active participants in the civic life of our communities, and who deserve to be able to marry the person with whom they share their life.”
Instead of passively bowing down before the homosexual community’s sacred idol, Mayor Malone responded with resolved dignity and truth.
“Keeping this response very short and to the point,” Malone wrote. “Being that I am a minister of the Gospel and the BIBLE emphatically forbids such, there is absolutely no way that I will support this. Although this is your preferred lifestyle, I have the utmost respect for you as a person and the things you do for the city, I cannot support what God calls an abomination.”
Contrary to popular belief the gay marriage mayor’s group only represent a miniscule amount. Out of 317 cities and towns in Ohio, only 8 mayors have signed on. The national group has only 100 out of thousands of cities and towns across the USA. The real anger should be directed at another case of gay-incited bullying. Threats against mayors and public officials are on the rise, but its inspiring to see a man of God exalt God’s truth above his public office.
Johnson replied later that he was writing to Malone, the mayor but received a response from the “right reverend Malone”. As we have stated before, homosexuals want everyone and everything to change, except them. The mayor is indeed a minister but in their matrix world, he has no right to be who he is. People of faith who oppose homosexuality should not have to leave their beliefs at home, hidden in a back room closet as if it were an old pair of gym shoes. With public trust in political leadership at an all time low, being honest is an admirable trait in a public official. Unfortunately, homosexual activists like Johnson demand that officials who oppose homosexuality because of their faith go against it and deny something intensely important to them.
GCMW applauds Mayor Malone and his courage should inspire other public officials.

I personally believe if persecution breaks out against true believers in this country, the gay issue will kick things off. I’ve read off incidents where people were arrested & charged with hate speech, just for preaching the truth about homosexuality….in America. The days may soon be upon us where we’re really going to have to show & prove who we say we are by where we stand on this issue.
As an ex-/post-gay men, its only now, that I’m outside of all that mess, that I see how hateful and anti-Christ homosexuality and the gay lifestyle are. Sure, they want a mayor who’s also a minister to sign on to their sin. His signature would add a level of respectability to their ongoing campaign to make “gay OK.” But when he refused, suddenly he became some sort of hateful “holy roller.”
When Paul talked about the evils of homosexuality in Romans 1:26, it seems that he was showing that homosexual practice becomes rampant (and presumably more or less OK socially) as idolatry and hatred of the one true God increases. I think we see that with the “gay rights” movement. The push for gay marriage and all that is only part of the agenda. The deeper agenda is to destroy what remains of our Judeo-Christian values (and even common sense) by making self-love and idolatrous behavior “healthy,” “normal,” and even “moral.”
To Mayor Malone, we stand with you in the Lord.
Amen! And I pray that our state (Ohio) will not succumb to the pressure to conform to the gay agenda!
true basil. The devil has possessed these people with his wickedness and their #1 goal is the suppression of the righteous. You know this is not new when you read Daniel 6.
@ exgay2 this is a true assessment of the aggressive spiritual warfare the church is up against in our times. In the last century it was racism, now the homosexual movement has taken its place and are using the same tactics to shut down those who oppose it. I wouldnt be surprised if they broke out the dogs, water hoses and man eating lions when we refuse to go along with their version of equality.
I always find something interesting about these homosexual statements they want everyone to sign on to. The gay rights group or individuals in quest ALWAYS throws in the words “committed” and “loving” somewhere.
Really? Isn’t that what it is suppose to be anyway? But we know the Truth and it stands for all time.
Yeah Roberto those are their new “we’re normal” buzz words. Just understand that just about every word used by homosexual activists in their agenda has been redefined including “loving” and “committed”. Nothing is what it appears to be.
Finding such men holding public offices clarify their stance regarding homosexuality is something to thank God for. The devil he knows its not easy trying to get support from ordinary citizens so he z trying use public ministers to enhance his wicked agenda.
This move is just but inspirational to the dot
It’s been a minute since I commented on anything on your forum, Pastor Foster. But I find it quite refreshing that at least there are still a few believers left who will not compromise when it comes to God’s Word. I, too, applaud Mayor Malone for not being forced to support a lifestyle that is not pleasing to God. If I was a resident in Ohio, he would certainly have my vote…
Kudos for Mayor Davis for taking his stance against this abomination.
May he be encouraged as he makes a stand for what is right. In Northwest Ohio, I am filing an appeal against Bishop Bruce Ough (located out of Maumee, Ohio office) who approves and condones the homosexual lifestyle. Many Methodists Bishops…like Ough…are supporting the gay
agenda and when you rebuke them, they say you are harsh or hard on them! ‘Bishop Ough fought for the approval of the Chief Financial Officer…Bill Brownson, who is an openly practicing homosexual, as the new CFO for this Northwest Ohio Methodist district. This is in spite of the Book of Disciplines stating that homosexuality is incompatible with scriptures….but nonetheless Bishop Ough championed Brownson for this CFO position (which he did in fact win by a slim vote margin). The UMC
is slowly sliding into outright heresy.
God bless and sustain Mayor Malone. He is an example of what it means to stand for righteousness amidst unpopularity in the world and the ungodly rhetoric that he has to deal with concerning the homosexual agenda. Whatever the cost to his political career, it will be worth it all when he stands before Jesus in the end. “But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Gal. 6:14 ASV) Mayor, “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” is my prayer for you.
