It was published in Christianity Today in 2004, but feels like it was written yesterday. Lies and deception never change for the better. The silver tongued lie that sexual expression doesn’t matter to God as long as its based on mutual love is a soul killer.

Gay churches who dangle this poisoned carrot in front of confused, hurting and struggling men and women manipulate their hurt and promise them freedom when just the opposite will result.

The only answer to the devastation of sin is to repent of it and live a disciplined life in submission to Christ.

An excerpt:

I spent several years in bondage to lust. Over and over, I would quit, shamed beyond measure. But the message that I should embrace my identity as a “gay Christian” continued to entice me, and I would return to my self-made prison. My sin separated me from God, and I lost the joy of my salvation. My conscience didn’t side with the affirming church.

After so many years of stimulation, my senses became dulled. I no longer could get the rush I needed so badly. Encouraged by the message of the affirming church, I was “embracing” my homosexuality. But as I fell deeper into sin, my marriage grew increasingly boring, and my wife’s love seemed more and more distant.

The affirming church had a bigger lie for me: I had been “guilted” into a heterosexual marriage by a church that lied to me about my orientation.

The author unmasks the gay church and its franchises in mainstream denominations:

My pastor likens affirming Christians to the doctor who examines her patient and discovers life-threatening, but treatable, cancer. However, knowing that the patient cannot bear the thought of the painful treatment, she sends the man home with the “good news” that there is nothing wrong with him. Instead, the good doctor tells her patient that the symptoms of cancer are something “quite natural” that he should “accept.”

In the same way, I’ve had Christians tell me that homosexuality is “natural,” that I was “born this way,” and I should “accept” the way I am. They have said that my marriage was a mistake; I should divorce my wife and affirm my gay identity. But I have heard countless stories of men and women who came out from affirming churches because they realized that they were not being who God wants them to be.

Believers can act like the false physician, telling people tempted by homosexuality that same-sex orientation is part of their identity and that they should accept it. Or, we can act as judge, jury, and executioner, driving them away from the Savior who loves them. Either way, we risk the same result: spiritual death.

The author is anonymous honoring his wife’s request. Read the entire story here.

False teachers and prophets are spiritual murderers because they affect the well-being of a person’s eternal soul by leading him or her away from the Word of God. There are two dangerous false teachings: The Gospel of Inclusion and Pro-gay Theology. As 1 Timothy 4:1 would put it, they are doctrine of devils and people give heed to these seducing spirits every day. Ignatius in the 2nd century A.D. said, “I urge you…keep away from every strange plant, which is heresy.
These people, while pretending to be trustworthy, mix Jesus Christ with poison…I am guarding you in advance because you are very dear to me and I foresee the snares of the devil (Letters to the Trallians 6-8).” Just think of it this way: Carlton Pearson and Yvette Flunder are among those who teach these types of heresies and they are guilty of Ezekiel 3:18. They do not act as true watchmen of God that warn the wicked of their iniquity. They make the unsaved believe that they are really saved. Any person who believes or follows such teaching runs the risk of eternal damnation and receiving the “second death” or separation from Jesus Christ (Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 21:8).

Just imagine a whole congregation that follows false teachings! If they believe the teaching until their death, never receive the full revelation of the lie, and never repent for believing the lie, they are spiritually dead. The false teacher has performed spiritual murder. The congregation is deceived into believing a lie and the result is eternal death.

First and foremost, saints of God should always follow the Word of God over their favorite icon preacher or teacher. Deuteronomy 13:1-4 says,

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him..”

Consider the following: Church folks often tell others that the prophet of the Lord told them that a check was coming in the mail because the Word said that their blessings would be pressed down, shaken together and running over. However, the prophet who told them that didn’t line up with the Word of God. They didn’t study. They didn’t receive a revelation from God. Instead, the word the prophet spoke was just some new wild revelation they received through their own flesh. The sad truth is that people eat this poison of unbiblical preaching and teaching, and will fight over what these false ministers have said as being the Truth. Unfortunately, they are unable to see the death of false teaching in the pot ( 2 Kings 4:40). They would rather eat death than the life-giving Word of God.

Regrettably, people follow the voice of there favorite preacher or teacher instead of the voice of God. Many saints today lack the discipline to search the scriptures for themselves. They fail to make sure the person they are listening to is telling them the truth. We must be like the Bereans in Berea. Acts 17:10-11 says, “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

The Bereans searched the scriptures. As great as Paul and Silas were, they didn’t just rely on their popular reputation. They made sure what they preached and taught lined up with the Word of God. Please saints, don’t fall for the seduction of false doctrine. It can literally kill you and you’ll suffer the second death as a result. Remember John 5:39 says, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they which testify of me.” Search the scriptures for yourself! It is your eternal soul we’re talking about here. You only get one time around here on Earth. The scriptures don’t suggest karma or purgatory. Carlton Pearson may not believe in Hell but that doesn’t mean that Hell isn’t a reality. It is! And what can be worse than Hell itself? Being thrown into the Lake of Fire, tormented for eternity, and separated from Jesus Christ forever.

In Luke 11:34 Jesus said “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.”

Over and over the proof of his words are manifested by adherents of gay christian theology. At its root is an old heresy which perverts the nature of Christ.

Rev. Jim Mitulski, leader of a gay church in San Francisco says Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem is like a gay pride parade. From the San Francisco Chronicle:

The story begins with Palm Sunday, Jesus’ jaunty entry into Jerusalem, where people placed their cloaks and tree branches on his path to welcome him. For Mitulski, it feels like a gay pride parade – a public and political celebration beyond government control.

Easter “evokes from us the experience of resurrection in our own bodies and in our own spirits,” said Mitulski, the pastor at New Spirit Community Church in Berkeley. “It’s not just a retelling. It’s an embodiment.”

Both religious and secular society have heaped messages upon gays and lesbians that their bodies are sinful or their sexuality a product of mental illness, said Rev. D. Mark Wilson, a pastor at Tapestry Ministries in Berkeley. AIDS is described by some Christians as punishment from God.

But Wilson and others believe the Bible repeatedly decouples the idea that sin is associated with the body or that illness is punishment.

A gay pride parade? In case you’ve never seen one, view a small sample of a gay pride parade here via the SF Chronicle (warning: some images may be offensive).

Bad theology on parade

Gay theology is threaded with heresy in order to make sense to them. In fact, the whole idea of disassociating sin with the body is a fundamental tenet to religious homosexuals. The idea goes like this: If what I do (sex with someone of the same gender) is not associated with sin, then what I do will always be right and good. Thus, any form of sexual activity is not viewed as sinful. Hopefully, that helps you can understand why homosexuals in religion fight so hard against the word of God which condemns same gender sexual activity.

But the Apostle John clearly refuted that ideology.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:5-8 NIV

John was responding to an old heresy called docetism. Docetism is a heretical teaching with several variations which primarily denies the true nature of Christ. According to CARM (Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry):

[Docetism] taught that Jesus only appeared to have a body, that he was not really incarnate, (Greek, “dokeo” = “to seem”). This error developed out of the dualistic philosophy which viewed matter as inherently evil, that God could not be associated with matter, and that God, being perfect and infinite, could not suffer. Therefore, God as the word, could not have become flesh per John 1:1,14.

The variation promoted by gay christianity flips the disassociation to the benefit of the individual. Instead of the body (or matter) being evil, it is good. If the body itself is inherently good, then the body’s action’s are likewise good.

That’s why another gay cleric interviewed in the story could see a bible passage as affirmation, rather than condemnation of his homosexuality.

In Second Corinthians, the apostle Paul says he prayed three times for a thorn to be removed from his flesh. God doesn’t remove “the thorn” but says his grace is sufficient, which some interpret as God telling Paul to accept his body for what it is.

“Being 19, in the closet and doing everything I could to pray away my gayness, that scripture spoke to me,” said Wilson, 49.

The “homosexuality is a thorn in the flesh” theory is one that many think is divine approval, if not justification for their sin. In its broadest general sense a “thorn in the flesh” has come to embody a euphemism which means something you don’t want, but are powerless to get rid of.

But such a contemporary application is not biblical. Paul called his thorn “a messenger from satan” sent to fight against him. God allowed it but gave Paul grace to continue despite it. Whatever the thorn may be, it cannot be sin such as homosexuality. Paul’s problem wasnt sin, it was external and formidable enough to hinder his work for the kingdom of God. And its clear Paul never accepted his problem, he accepted God’s grace for his problem.

That’s a much different conclusion from Rev. Wilson’s conclusion. He interpreted it to mean God intended for him to be homosexual. He believe he should “accept his body for what it is”. Wilson’s conclusion is not based on the grace of God [read how grace produces holiness, not sin], but his own darkened interpretation that his body is good, therefore it can do nothing sinful.

A Chicago area religious personality claims that since the Bible doesn’t address so-called “sexual orientation”, then the church should accept homosexuality as normal.

“Rev. Dr. Martha Simmons, Creator and Director of The African American Lectionary. During a Feb. 18th 2010 interview with Santita Jackson on Chicago’s WVON 1690 She appeared along with Dr. Brenda Wade who we will feature in another article. Dr. Simmons stated that not only does the bible not address the issue of sexual orientation, but the word which many people claim that was used to address this issue (Gk: arsenokoites) was a word of unknown origin and meaning and was allowed to creep in later translations of the bible. She stated that this word was defined by scholars as 1- sexual behavior or 2- sexual orientation. She says that most biblical translations only refer to homosexual sexual behavior not homosexual orientation.”

Simmons started the AA Lectionary, a type of topical sermon bank for black preachers. Judging from the gaggle of liberal, black liberation theology activists she highlights there, I wouldn’t spend ten seconds looking for sermon material to preach in church.

We are increasingly having to deal with the slithering teachings of people like Simmons (shown with homosexual bishop Vickie Robinson) who are importing false constructs into the church. Simmons’ doesn’t derive her conclusions from any honest and legitimate study of God’s Word, but rather hers is a mixture of religious and social ideology. As we have said before, its a major error in judgment and exegetical analysis to determine that silence equals consent and approval in the scriptures.

Thus, Simmon’s argument is nothing more than a contrived strawman. The issue isn’t, nor will it ever be, whether the bible addresses sexual orientation. The issue is a vain attempt to circumvent with worldly wisdom, God’s creative intent for human sexual expression. The fallacy of the argument can be proven with a logical application to a host of contemporary issues that are not expressly mentioned in biblical texts. But any true student and lover of the Word knows that the logos is infused with a supernatural ability to transcend time and culture.

Dunamis Word blog explains in much more detail why Simmons is being patently disingenuous in her attempts to justify homosexual behavior. Its odd how these so called religious scholars resort to such triteness of thought to convince people to believe against the will of God. Common sense would tell you that if a person has wrong feelings, it will produce wrong behavior. Homosexuality as evidenced 100% of the scriptures which mention it, is without doubt wrong behavior. If you allow God’s word to correct wrong feelings, motives, thoughts at the root of your wrong behavior, you’ll live a life pleasing to God.

Where the term originated. Homosexuals used to be called homosexuals who had a “sexual preference”. They found out that didn’t work. As a minority seeking more power and needing wider social acceptance, a more potent political identifier which deleted the idea that their behavior was a choice was concocted. So, it was changed it to “gay and lesbian”. Gay and lesbian was easier on the ear and opened a political and social door closed to “homosexuals”. This self identifying metamorphosis has been adapted by pedophile and polygamists too.

As gays and lesbians gained the political clout they needed to affect laws and social mores, other sexual minorities took note and clamored for some of the power sharing. A new term was needed to include everything not yet discovered in the pandora’s box. Hence, sexual orientation.

So the term sexual orientation is a fairly new etymological offering which has evolved to include a conundrum of sexual malfunctions outside the normal scope of male-female covenant relationships. Advocates claim a person’s sexual orientation is “fixed at birth”. But what’s very interesting about the sexual orientation theory is its selective application. While homosexuals and lesbians swear by it, they are still unwilling to include pedophiles. It was only in recent years that the “transgenders” got into the power circle after accusing the gays of hypocrisy.

What the bible says about our identity, emotions, thoughts and feelings
The bible says a great deal about our identity, emotions, thoughts and feelings. But all are oriented in respect to right relationship with God. In other words, with God as the source of right wrong, we learn what is and is not acceptable to him even if it involves the intangibles of our lives.

Jesus told his disciples that it was evil thoughts and motives which defile people causing them to act out what was on the inside, thus “defiling” him. Mark 7:15 There is nothing from outside a man that, entering into him, can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

And He said, “That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within and defile the man.” vss 20-23

Look closely and you’ll see homosexuality.

Hebrews 4:15 – Our feelings matter to Christ, but only as identity with us in the struggle to overcome temptation and sin.

2 Cor 10:5 Any thought, feeling or vain imaginations, when in contradiction to the supremacy of Christ must be destroyed.

Jeremiah 7:24 Acting on one’s wrong feelings and thoughts are evil and cause a person to go “backward, not forward”.

Therefore if ” sexual orientation” is based on how one feels about themselves, Jesus and the bible significantly condemn any feelings, thoughts and actions which lead a person into ungodly activity.

What’s the intent of the term’s current usage?
The introduction of the phrase “sexual orientation” marked a watershed moment in our society. Finally homosexual activists and their allies had something in which they could conveniently insert just about any feeling or sexual behavior and call it “orientation”. It is an intentionally broad term because of the growing expressions of perversion needed a home and this provided it.

Planned Parenthood tells teens that “sexual orientation is the term used to describe whether a person feels sexual desire for people of the other gender, same gender, or both genders.”

The conventional gay wisdom is that you are what you feel. And no one can tell you what you feel is wrong for you. Typical postmodernist relativity stuff. As I asked a young gay man once who vigorously asserted to me that since he “felt” gay from the age of two, it was proof he actually was gay. I asked him if he’d felt like a pig since he was age two what would he be right now? Its silliness that doesn’t even qualify as logic.

You might be astonished to know that this type of shallow, illogical relativity has literally become “scientific” evidence upon which laws in this country are passed.

What implications does it have on the church?

Its dangerous and unbiblical for the church to adopt and include terms as “sexual orientation”. If the concept is biblical, then there is only one legitimate sexual orientation. God created man and oriented him sexually, emotionally and relationally to the woman. Thus any other attraction, emotion, feeling, behavior or the likes is illegitimate as it is rooted in fallen sinful nature.

Inclusion of such destructive terms continue to set the church at odds the divine plan of redemption. If sin can be justified with clever new phrases and “scholars” who sanctify the clever new phrases what will be the church’s message?

If our core message is not that man is hopelessly degenerate apart from the repentance and remission of sin, what is it that we will be teaching and preaching. Self help? Im ok, youre ok? All you need is a hug? No! Our core message is what distinguishes us from every other religion because it is the express reason Jesus Christ came, suffered, died and rose again. If we allow outside influences to dilute or change that message in the slightest, we stand to lose our identity.

We’ve reported on the church here, here and here so you can familiarize yourself with them by reading those stories.

CT, a former member of the church’s Seattle branch has given GCM Watch an exclusive interview and look inside what its like to be a member of a gay church. Did he find what he was looking for? We report, you decide.

GCM Watch: Why did you join a gay church?

CT: I know the reason why I joined a gay church was because I wanted to be among people like me. I wanted to be among gay people who also loved the Lord. I knew that being gay was wrong but thought that if I got into a place of worship that wasn’t so dogmatic on homosexuals that I might actually enjoy it.

GCMW: What was your spiritual experience like while there?

CT: I knew that there would be differences in the order of service and possibly the worship. Found it to much like the black church experience without the true presence of God. People would get up and testify about how God (God himself) blessed them with this lover they have had for however long they were together. The goodness of God was expressed on a ssa level not on the basis of how good he really is. Not sure if there mind was clouded by the spirits that at work on the inside or if they were just literally blind to the awesomeness of God.

Couldn’t have too much of a spiritual experience in the church knowing that after church the pastor, and one half the congregation would be meeting at the closest watering hole for happy hour (Is this where the offering money going?).

There was one time when I can say that I felt the presence of God I was in search of my next move in life. I knew I couldn’t continue down the path I was headed down. I had no money, I was very bored with the church and its lack of righteousness. The choir sung a song by Hezekiah Walker called “Alright Now/I do believe I’ll make it”. It ministered to me so strongly and so real that I thought I actually felt God sitting next to me whispering in my ear that you will make it.

GCMW: Did you ever question teachings you heard?

CT: Being the person who I am I always have questions on anything. I question myself and my motives for things that I do. I questioned the doctrine of the church and how they viewed homosexuality. I found out some of the things that their doctrine taught about homosexuality and the bible. Because of the trick or the attack I should say of the enemy on my life at that time, I was in total agreeance. I needed to be in a church and needed to be accepted for who I was. The big deception was looking me dead in the face and I allowed it to overtake me.

GCMW: How is the bible viewed in the church?

The bible is viewed as a self-help book. The morning sermons were more on passages from “In the Meantime” by Iyanla VanZant. I can only remember one sermon out of the bible and that sermon was over before it got started. Meanwhile sermons from “In the Meantime”, the latest Oprah book club of the month, or any other self-affirming or love focused book would hold a 30 minute sermon.

GCMW: Why did you leave?

CT: I was bored with the church because it was not teaching me right. The Lord was speaking to me regarding being in that place. I would be very uncomfortable hearing sermons that were not from the word of God which would bring about true life change. I was uneasy hearing and seeing homosexual activity in the church (kissing, holding hands, etc.). Couldn’t deal with the musician bringing a different dude to church EVERY sunday and be hugged up on him. It was just too many things!

GCMW: Why do you think people join gay churches?

CT: For acceptance, because churches in past have been so hard on gays. They might love the Lord as much as they know how but have been ostracized, preached on and “sent to hell”. Not just from the pulpit, but from the person sitting right next to them. The funny thing that I noticed was that certain gays were not a part of this holy bashing-the singer who had the voice of an angel, the preacher who everybody knew just didn’t talk about it. The average untalented, confused homosexual is verbally, characsterically, and sometimes physically beat out of the church. Where did they go? Churches that accepted them for who and what they are. I would say in times past that this was the standard but now in some churches it is going on and the number is increasing. Yet people are still flocking to the gay church because they can’t be who they are and be allowed to worship their god in many edifices today.

GCMW: Is there anything else you care to add to help us understand the mindset and operation of churches like Sojourner Truth?

CT: You heard me mention the great deception. Well to me the great deception is the Unity Fellowship Movement and churches like it. Because it gives the assumption that you are serving or worshipping the true and living God when in fact you are being deceived. You have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof. Let me explain:

You think that you are serving God and that you were beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of God. We were that! You are also taught if you are gay you were born that way, or God made you like this. But how can you be born in the image of a righteous and holy God and yet be born as an abomination to him? You can’t believe in God’s delivering power because you feel and are told by these denominations that you are ok and there is nothing wrong with the way you are. Let me retract and speak only for Unity Fellowship Movement because that is the only place where I carried my membership.

Even the basic truths of homosxuality and the bible are fought tooth and nail by their doctrine and perverted to make sure that what they believe is in agreeance with the spirit that is within you. So that you will begin to see the familiarities in YOUR spirit and THEIR doctrine.

Postscript: The Sojourner Truth UFC in Seattle appears to be defunct or no longer with the UFC movement as it is not listed on the organization’s web site. The founder of the church died in August (2009?) according to a gay newspaper. The former pastor is now in the church’s “mid-atlantic jurisdiction”.

Bishop Vickie Gene Robinson, the Episcopal church’s first bishop of abominations quite possibly has lost any resemblance of a person who at some point in his life recognized truth. What’s more disturbing is that the multiple lies he spouts are commonplace teachings among gay christians. How can a person claiming Christ embrace and promote such things? Well, it doesn’t come overnight. It takes an enormous amount of spiritual energy to continually override the truth and embrace a lie. I dont say it often, but the bishop is demon-possessed. I don’t say that to “demonize” him, but because it is a recognition of what is speaking from inside him.

How do you explain the poison dripping from this collar wearing serpent? What about Jesus’s red letter words (for all the Tony Campolo fans):

If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! John 8:42-45 NIV (our bold)

Anyone who engages in this type of systemic lying and rejection of the truth, is not a child of God, but a descendant of the devil. That’s why those in the gay christian movement unless and until they repent and renounce these beliefs cannot even so much as consider them “brothers and sisters in Christ”. They are no more brothers and sisters than the people Jesus was addressing in the above passage.

GCM Watch has covered Robinson’s litany of lies and his vengeful reign as a so-called bishop before, so I wont revisit what’s in the video in detail here. But you can read here, here and here to see biblical responses to the doctrines of devils out of Robinson’s mouth. And as we explained before most of the articulation of contemporary gay christian theology is credited to John Boswell’s book Christianity, Social Tolerance and Homosexuality.

h/t: Americans for Truth about homosexuality

The transmogrification powers of the gay christian movement never cease to amaze. So desperate are they to prove they are real Christians, they will do anything. Including holding a conference with the ironic spoof theme to “embrace the will of God”. Anything. Anything that is, except what God requires to be in right relationship with him. What is that you ask? Its very simple: acknowledge that their sexual behavior is not the will of God and then repent and live according to the will of God. The “embrace the will of God” conference is almost mocking considering the one ton elephant in the room.

The 2010 conference is designed to educate and inspire every Christian to embrace God’s will for their individual lives, relationships, and ministries. The conference workshops and sessions focus on helping better understand, develop, and further our God-given gifts for greater ministry in the body of Christ.

How can a group so opposed to the will of God teach others to embrace the will of God? For the record, The Evangelical Network (TEN) is a quasi pentecostal/charismatic group of religious homosexuals who (like all the other gay christian organizations) claim to believe in the whole bible, except those few obscure parts about homosexuality. That part, they believe without question, has been misinterpreted by so-called homophobes therefore its invalid. So, to fill the void, TEN skips around the country having self congratulatory conferences which seem to do nothing except continue searing their consciences with hot irons.

This year’s conference is chocked full of the same false prophets and attendant entertainment we have exposed at GCM Watch before. That’s how they do it: heaping unto themselves teachers, having itching ears.

But back to the will of God. God’s will concerning sexual expression is clear and final. But the poor Evangelical Network’s cant seem to locate it. So for their sakes, here it is. From 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8:

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
That every one of you should know  how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

How much more clearer, succinct and adamant could the will of God be? So go ahead TEN, you wanted to embrace the will of God, there it is. And please take note of the last verse.

PART TWO OF TWO POSTS
One of the rather unfortunate side effects of false teachings is there is always someone vulnerable enough to become ensnared by it. Some souls are truly ensnared; meaning they stepped into the clutches of a false teacher unawares.

PART TWO OF TWO POSTS

One of the rather unfortunate side effects of false teachings is there is always someone vulnerable enough to become ensnared by it. Some souls are truly ensnared; meaning they stepped into the clutches of a false teacher unawares. Others, link up with false religious movements out of a desire to scratch the itch of their ears for something other than what God has said. While some false teachings with a Christian facade have waned, others are going strong. Meanwhile, others are constantly attempting to reinvent themselves to seduce new victims.

The entire religious homosexual ideology is but a facet of a larger web cast wide by satan to deceive as many people as possible. In case you forgot, satan is a doomed creature (Rev 20:7-10) with zero chance of redemption, forgiveness or escape. His destiny is an unimaginable horror set for an eternity in the lake of fire. He knows that and seeks to bamboozle as many humans as possible before his time is up. We’ve talked about satan and his agenda here and here before.

And false teachers, prophets and ministers are all under the delusion of the enemy. All false teachers and their false teachings are rooted in two things: rebellion and lust. In fact lust breeds rebellion. With a little study you can trace both to satan’s expulsion from heaven (Ezekiel 28).

The inclusion doctrine has spawned several hypothesis which are in some churches repeated as if an angel from heaven brought it to earth on golden tablets of stone. In this postmodern, westernized religious vacuum we live in, the impact and influence is so great, some churches and pastors who hold a biblical worldview on other issues allow these philosophies to color their thinking about homosexuality.

2.1 The theory of being born gay

Just like the theory of evolution is but an unproven hypothesis, so is the theory of being born gay. It ranks right up there with pink elephants on Mars and little green men on Saturn.

The homosexual inclusion component of inclusion theology is a match made in hell. Its embedded with just about every major element of apostasy known to us.

The born gay theory assumes that a person can’t and shouldn’t be forced to change or alter something about themselves that is genetic or hereditary. In order to respond properly, Christians must be able to answer the following questions with biblical context :

What is sexual orientation?

Is sexual orientation genetic?

„2.2 Gay churches: evolution to evil

Are gay churches valid as Christian churches? For an individual attending a predominately homosexual church, and claiming to be a Christian, the Apostle Paul offers these guidelines in I Corinthians 5:9-13 (Message Bible)

I wrote you in my earlier letter that you shouldn’t make yourselves at home among the sexually promiscuous. I didn’t mean that you should have nothing at all to do with outsiders of that sort. Or with crooks, whether blue or white-collar. Or with spiritual phonies, for that matter. You’d have to leave the world entirely to do that! But I am saying that you shouldn’t act as if everything is just fine when a friend who claims to be a Christian is promiscuous or crooked, is flip with God or rude to friends, gets drunk or becomes greedy and predatory. You can’t just go along with this, treating it as acceptable behavior. I’m not responsible for what the outsiders do, but don’t we have some responsibility for those within our community of believers? God decides on the outsiders, but we need to decide when our brothers and sisters are out of line and, if necessary, clean house.

Gay churches, I believe, are partially a result of the neglect and failure of the church to address homosexuality in a consistent and holistic manner. In our society, credibility is everything. Homosexual churches now have large buildings, thousands of members, talented “gospel” choirs and regular fellowship with well known Christian music artists and speakers. All of which promotes credibility.

Such credibility, however, has considerably weakened the argument that the Holy Spirit is not with homosexuals who claim to be Christians. Specifically, it postulates that due to grace and love, one’s personal sexual behavior is immaterial to God. That’s the same argument the heretical antinominians used in the first century church. Those arguments were refuted in 1 John 1, 2.

„2.3 The impact of “social justice”

Social Justice issues are concerns advocated by individuals in reference to basic human rights. Advocates seek the eradication of these problems from the human family. These issues have gained attention and include: environmentalism, equality (and inclusivity), racism, globalization, poverty, homelessness and violence (war).

Homosexual religious rights are seen as a major part of social justice. Issues of equality and nondiscrimination are said to have its roots in Matt 25. The inference is that barring gays and lesbians from full and equal participation in the life and governance of the church is a violation of scripture. Particularly, Jesus’ command to love.

How should you answer that charge?

Jesus did not come to set up an earthly kingdom, but rather to bring the Kingdom of God to the earth. While social justice should be a valid concern of the church, it should never overshadow or circumvent our primary purpose to reconcile lost, sinful souls to God through the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The problem with social justice is that the definition continues to include whatever “injustice” man deems worthy despite what God says. Just because society declares something unjust, doesn’t mean the church must change its biblical meaning.

„2.4 The impact of biblical revisionism

Biblical revisionism is the alternate rendering of the Bible’s texts based on a more skeptical view of literary and archaeological sources than the traditional perspective. Supporters of homosexual inclusion often accuse us of “cherry picking” scriptures to make a point. That’s a silly charge simply because every Word of God is good for reproof, correction, rebuke and instruction in righteousness. We must rightly divide the Word, but it is all still in full effect. The real problem inclusion with God’s Word is that it is so sharp and clear, it cannot be denied. Because of this the gay christian movement is forced to (a) discredit it (b) minimize it (c) circumvent it (d) falsely interpret it.

This has served the religious homosexual movement well in restructuring the meanings of scriptures which condemn homosexual conduct, thus seeding discord and confusion in the church.

Examples:

Ruth and Naomi’s relationship is an example of lesbian love in the Bible.

David and Jonathan’s relationship is an example of gay love.

The sin of Sodom was inhospitality, not homosexuality.

Jesus said nothing about homosexuality.

To give such claims a progressive air of theological credibility, revisionists have enlisted their own scholars, theologians and historians (see John Boswell), to sanctify the revised meanings. Thus, individuals properly interpreting scripture are derided as fundamentalist, ignorant, bigoted, homophobic and intolerant.

Please understand that we have been warned (2 Pet 2:1) of such things would come and severely test our faith. We should always be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading, but remain faithful to defend the faith once delivered to the saints.

PART ONE OF TWO POSTS

Since the church’s inception, controversies involving sexual related issues have defied the spiritual resolve of the church and its leadership (ref 1 Cor 5). Today, with the advent of instant, accessible information, these controversies have multiplied exponentially and impacted the church’s ability to conduct balanced outreach.

GCM Watch and other ministries have documented repeatedly how the social and political demands embedded within homosexual activism has challenged the church like no other issue before it. While some have drawn inferences to the issue of accepting blacks and women, there remains nonetheless, a fundamental and striking difference. Gender and skin color are immutable traits, whereas sexual conduct is not.

Under the umbrella of heresy and apostasy sits the inclusion doctrine. The contemporary inclusion theory really began in the world as diversity and somehow transmorphed itself into a religious ideology. Given its origin, it doesn’t work in the Kingdom paradigm because the Kingdom (of God) is intentionally exclusive; allowing entrance only to those who have been washed, sanctified and justified by the blood of Christ. Jesus taught an radically exclusive doctrine with himself as the prime example (ref John 14:6). While John 14:6 does not prohibit anyone from approaching Christ, it does prohibit anyone from going forward from that point should they reject him upon discovery.

„The two tables

Inclusion is probably one of the most loaded euphemisms of our time. Ironically, inclusion applies to exclusive list of of sexual aberrations which are now declaring themselves “acceptable” on an as is basis. Acceptable not just to society (and all life is worthy of respect) but acceptable to God and his church. Acceptable not just to attend a church, but to govern and lead it. While all are welcome to attend church, all are not qualified to lead and govern. Thus, our conflict.

Inclusion is a regentrified expression of universalism, an old doctrine which was rightfully branded heretical and rejected by the early church fathers. Synergizing it (in a religious context) with homosexual rights, has given it new life. Religious homosexuals and their allies believe that everyone is equal in the church based on such scriptures as John 3:16. While true in its broadest application its artfully mixed with a substantial amount of lies. What’s more, the motivation for the lie accounts for the aggressive nature of the doctrine.

Inclusion supposes that Jesus rejects no one and accepts everyone “at the table”. True, but the question isn’t does Jesus reject people, but what is the table. This analogy and usage of the table is drawn from the parable of the great banquet in Luke 14:15-23.

The inclusion doctrine ignores two critical about the table parable: one is in the passage, the other in a supporting passage. First, the setting for the parable is “the Kingdom of God” (vs 15). Secondly, we find that no unrighteous will inherit the Kingdom of God. Thus, if the table is set in the Kingdom perspective, no one who is unrighteous will be present to eat its fare. All are welcome to come to the table, but this coming represents what Paul taught was being “washed, sanctified and justified” in the name of the Lord Jesus by the spirit of God (1 Cor 6:11) after arriving at the table. True spiritual equality is only attained once a person has, through repentance, been cleansed from their sins and declared righteous by a holy God. Yet, religious homosexuals exempt themselves from repentance by declaring that their “orientation” is natural not requiring any change.

The table is transported by inclusionists out of the kingdom of God and reset in a socio-political-religious kingdom. Here’s the main problems with inclusion and their table of equality:

Inclusion mixes a partial truth with a sinful motive

Inclusion does not acknowledge man’s sinful nature and his need for repentance

Inclusion treats grace as deserved rather than unmerited

Armed with this information, homosexuals then challenge the church. Please note that the challenges cut sharply at the foundational beliefs of the church such as sin, repentance, justification and redemption. This, in turn has prompted an increasing number of churches to redesignate themselves “welcoming and affirming” a fast track accommodation to those who are “denied” a seat at the table.

The doctrine of inclusion relies heavily on what I call replacement allegory. Replacement allegory is a theological trick which gives the individual the unrestricted freedom to remove real or apparent contradictions between Scriptures and current beliefs.

You can read more about that here in Bishop Yvette Flunder’s retelling of wilderness story in Exodus.

Although Candace Chellew claims to be a gay christian, a Rwandan elephant might be a better representation. We’ve talked about her sophistic butchery of scripture here and here before. Now she’s protesting gays at parades being treated with love. She’s found incontrovertible evidence of a conservative Christian conspiracy to convert gays from their true orientation with a sinister bait and switch tactic using water bottles and bracelets. Wow, thankfully she’s now exposed it and gays the world over are safe.

A new book by two pastors with a ministry focus on traditional sexual “sinners” like those in the porn industry and those who “struggle” with pornography, is seeking to revive this sort of “friendship evangelism.” They’re traveling the country, attending gay pride parades, handing out “Jesus Loves You” water bottles and wrist bracelets apologizing for how the church has treated “sinners” like gays and lesbians.

On the serious side, Ms Chellew’s biggest problem (like most gay christian clerics) is that she has a substantial amount of misplaced (and unjustified) caan-like anger at God and his Word. Sorry, republicans, conservative Christians, James Dobson nor Exodus International created the Bible. In fact, no one Chellew continuously blames had anything whatsoever to do with what is contained in the scriptures. But because we simply believe what it says and proclaim its truth, its just as if you wrote those hateful words to her. That’s a reference to the homosexuality is an abomination part which she doesn’t like because she thinks her lesbianism is her identity.

Its strange that one sinner would say, I’m better than that sinner because I don’t do that! Isnt that breaking the dreaded thou shalt not be judgmental law? Believe it or not that’s exactly Chellew’s issue with sex industry workers. She’s better than those degenerates!

“The offensiveness of this “friendship evangelism” cannot be overstated. Let me outline what I find most offensive. First, gay and lesbian people are lumped in with porn stars. I agree with them that the porn industry is harmful not just to women, but to men. It degrades both men and women—but women especially. I join with them in their quest to change the behavior of porn stars. However, I am offended that my community is lumped in with them. There is absolutely no comparison. It’s like comparing the heterosexual community to the porn industry. Yes, there are some perverts in the heterosexual community, but that doesn’t mean the whole community is perverse. Same goes for the gay and lesbian community.”

So what’s wrong with handing out bottles of water and Jesus loves you bracelets at gay pride events? Gays have always complained that Christians don’t show them love and are always hatin’ on them cause of who they are. Well, now that Jason Harper and Craig Gross are not doing that Chellew thinks its definitely because they are conniving “friendship evangelism” devotees like her sister. Who, by the way she mistrusts too.

Well, with all this Christian 007 action going on, just who does Chellew, defender of the gay christian kingdom of gay faith trust? Most likely herself and her book, Bulletproof Faith. Its her version of how to protect yourself from the evil Christians who want to tell you Jesus loves you but secretly want you to burn in hell. Its like a one year how-to-survive-in-post-Sadam Iraq guide. Talk about conspiracy theories.

While Chellew is busy instructing frightened gays how to duck and dodge Christians who sincerely love them, perhaps its never occurred to her (that comes from fear of reading the bible) God might actually be still speaking to her over and over.

As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.” Heb 3:15. In other words, when God speaks to you, don’t play the bulletproof card.

And doesn’t God move in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform? Afterall, God did grant a jackass temporary speaking abilities to reprimand an apostate prophet and tell him he was about to get his head chopped off by an angel. The case of Balaam strangely parallels the whole bulletproof ideology. Lying to people about God will only result in bondage, disobedience and severe consequences.

Apostate-in-chief John Shelby Spong (remember him?) wrote of BPF “It is an amazing truth that gay and lesbian Christians need to develop a bullet-proof faith in order to survive the attack of other Christians. That, however, is the experience of many homosexual persons. Candace Chellew-Hodge has in this book committed herself to the task of making that survival a reality. I salute her and her work”

Sounds like a perpetual victimization manifesto cult pledge. Like Spong’s crybaby manifesto, Chellew declares “there’s only one side to this issue.” There’s something ironically hypocritical about that when Challew’s church the UCC declares “God is still speaking”. But such are those who live in deception.

The incredulous thing is that people like Bulletproofing Chellew and Manifesto-ing Spong actually want us to believe them instead of God. What foolish arrogance.

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19 NIV
