Open forum VI: Re-sexing question
I hope this isnt a brain buster, but I really like to know your thoughts on it.
My wife and I were watching a show (cant remember what it was) and a man and his wife got divorced but kept having sex even after they were divorced. Then they each got remarried to other people and quit having sex with other.
Weird I know. My first reaction was to laugh like crazy! But then we started talking about whether this was wrong in some way. They were divorced so technically wouldnt that make their continued sexual activity fornication? What do you think?
If you dont want to talk about that, feel free to opine about whatever else is on your mind.
Open Forum V: Mars Hill
This is our fifth Open Forum, all the others have been great. Some of you gripe to me because I wont let your comments air. While you have a right to gripe, griping usually will only get your griping deleted. If your comment is vulgar, tasteless, uncouth, out of context, tangential, tactless or otherwise distasteful to me, it will not be published. I am the final authority on that.
However, I tend to be much more charitable and gracious on the Open Forums. We’ll call this one Mars Hill, so bring your very best arguments for or against any subject (within reason) and we let it through. Of course that doesnt mean it wont be challenged by me or someone else. Also it doesnt mean you can’t counterchallenge should you choose to do so.
I’ll kick it off.
I dont think the “megachurch” model currently reigning as the desired after church standard is biblical. I think after a while it will run its course and become a religious dinosaur. I think all those who have built their careers on megachurch mentality will be in a spiritual soupline. What do you think?
Open Forum IV: Speak your mind
Posting will be slow or nonexistent for the next several days due to engagements on my calendar.
If any news comes through that I feel merits discussion, I will post a blurb on it here. Otherwise, feel free to talk about your pet peeves respectfully. I won’t accept any unsubstantiated information about people just because you dont like them so be careful not to post anything like that.
A couple of questions I’d like to throw out there is what do you think of Barack Obama choosing former members of the Clinton administration for his cabinet? Is this Clintonian redux or change you can believe in? And do you think that he will choose more black cabinet members than white presidents who have always chosen more white cabinet members? Is he obligated to choose more black members in key positions?

Well I’m taking a short holiday and ministry trip, so Im leaving GCM Watch in your hands. That’s right, youre in charge! While Im away, here’s a brief message for those unfamiliar with me or this work.
Thursday is my 47th birthday and Friday Im preaching is south Georgia.
Since I will be out several days there probably won’t be any new posting. If Jesus comes back before I do, then I wont be back at all and youre welcome to take over the blog permanently
