Jonathan Capehart’s gay media religion

You probably have never heard the term gay media religion so here’s a brief definition. It  when a gay media pundit  gets religion for a quick minute in order to make a media point about religion when it deals with gays.

Enter Washington Post opinion writer Jonathan Capeheart. Capeheart drudged up his inner religion to shoot at/throw stones at “conservatives” who don’t want to jump with wild abandon on the gays-are-the-best-thing-since-the-invention-of-the-toilet-paper wagon. To people like Capeheart, anything less than total acceptance of homosexuality,  is tantamount to desecrating the Auschwitz memorial.

In his opinion piece, He cites a bunch of polls to prove that homosexuals are the creme de la creme of American society. Perhaps that’s why they released the “study” which advanced the theory that having a gay marriage improves your health.

“Trying to exclude loving gay and lesbian families [is there such a thing as unloving gay families?], especially those with children, is a wasted effort. “The Decline of Marriage and Rise of New Families,” a November 2010 report by the Pew Research Center found that “63% say a gay or lesbian couple raising a child is a family.” That’s certainly less than full acceptance. But it’s still a majority of Americans.

A June 2010 Gallup survey put support for marriage equality at 52 percent. Among men it was 53 percent. And among Catholics, a stunning 62 percent. Those numbers were reconfirmed by a March 2011 Washington Post-ABC News poll that showed support for same-sex marriage at 53 percent of Americans, 53 percent of men and 63 percent of Catholics. That last percentage was a jump of 8 points since the question had been asked in February 2010.”

Capeheart’s media spasm is really aimed at attempting to minimize the truth that homosexuals can change. So he dutifully does his part to shoot it down by setting up “conservatives” as the strawman. Capeheart’s razor-thinly disguised arrogance at other people’s freewill and inalienable Constitutional rights to differ with him and other homosexual activists can be summed up with three main points:

1. All conservatives are gay-obsessed. That’s a favorite smoke bomb of those with religion du jour.  The phrase “gay obsessed” is intentionally undefined because if were, the fallacy of Capeheart’s  argument would quickly turn on him and his dear leader, the SOTUS. In fact, if you judged solely by the actions and policies and religious beliefs of Mr. #44, gay obsession would be a mild term.

2. Gays hate, hate, hate reparative therapy whether its the secular brand or the more comprehensive religious brand. We get that. You want to stay homosexual all your life to prove the point that no one can change from being homosexual. We get that. We get it that you want to ensure that all the trumped up policies and laws you have engineered based on a fallacious assumption that “sexual orientation” is immutable dont get wiped off the books by thinking people.

3.  Religion is like toilet paper. You use it only when you are trying to clean yourself up. That’s why out of 66 books with 1189 chapters and over 31,000 verses, the moderately intellectualized Capeheart has only seen two. And those are via Brent Childers of the gay religious organization Faith in America.

Romans 14:13 — Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another….
Ephesians 4:2 — Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Capeheart cited the two partial verses from Faith in America. Guess what their motto is: “Religion-based bigotry is the No. 1 impediment to equality and full human dignity…Help us end it!”  How ironic.

I dont get why anti-bible homosexuals want to make the bible gay friendly. Let’s face it, its not and it never will be. They claim King James was a “flaming homosexual” . If that is true, its really proof that God, not man controls the content of the scripture. King James could have easily excised every single mention of homosexuality in the bible, but he didnt. He left it as is.  100% of the scripture in the bible that mention of homosexuality —save one— is irreconcilably condemn homosexual behavior. So unless, they rewrite it in their own image and likeness, it will continue to be as is.

And just for the record, the “save one” is when the Apostle Paul states with flourishing joy that there were ex-homosexuals in the Corinthian church. And such were some of you.

Osteen declares homosexuality “still a sin”

Indeed it is.

As the leader of the nation’s largest church, Houston minister Joel Osteen has had some problems in the past articulating his agreement with scripture on homosexuality. And Osteen has made claims that left many wondering if he was truly grounded in scripture. But on a CNN show, he seemed to have gained some confidence. At least on this issue. Perhaps it was the result of being widely criticized as being middle of the road on the issue. He emphatically tells Peirce Morgan that the bible’s prohibition of homosexual behavior will not change.

Pedophiles following gays out of the closet

Using the mold cast by homosexual rights activists,  of a  group of psychiatrists and other mental health “professionals”, are paving the way for pedophiles — that’s adults who think having sex with children is normal—   say it’s time to change the way society views individuals who have physical attractions to children.

The story via FOX News:

The organization, which calls itself B4U-Act, is lobbying for changes to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, the guideline of standards on mental health that’s put together by the American Psychiatric Association.

The group says its mission is to help pedophiles before they create a crisis, and to do so by offering a less critical view of the disorder.

“Stigmatizing and stereotyping minor-attracted people inflames the fears of minor-attracted people, mental health professionals and the public, without contributing to an understanding of minor-attracted people or the issue of child sexual abuse,” reads the organization’s website.

B4U-Act said that 38 individuals attended a symposium in Baltimore last week, including researchers from Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University and the universities of Illinois and Louisville. According to the group, which said to not endorse every point of view expressed, the speakers in attendance concluded that “minor-attracted” individuals are largely misunderstood and should not be criminalized even as their actions should be discouraged.

Speakers also argued that people who are sexually attracted to children should have input into the decision about how pedophilia is defined in the DSM, which they said is supposed to be a guide to promote “mental health vs. social control.”

Critics of the conference say it was a thinly veiled attempt to make children of any age sexually accessible to adults.

“Absolutely,” Dr. Judith Reisman, a visiting professor of law at Liberty School of Law said. “Oh, they’re very clear about that. Their goal is to take all shame out of the lust for children.”

The American Psychiatric Association did not participate in the conference, and evidently does not condone the group’s message.

“An adult who engages in sexual activity with a child is performing a criminal and immoral act and this is never considered normal or socially acceptable behavior,” the APA wrote in a 2003 position statement.

Ironically, that was the same position the APA held about homosexuality, prior to caving in to internal political pressure by homosexual activist and removing it as a mental illness in 1973. And things have never been the same since.

Now, those mental health “professionals” are using the exact same tactics the gays used to gain legitimacy and ultimately “rights”. If the trajectory continues, within 10 years or less, adult-child sex will be decriminalized and adult-child marriage will become legal. The homosexual model of inclusion, rights and acceptance is the road that will make it reality.

And one thing you won’t hear is the two peas in a pod gay christian movement speaking out against it. Sin loves company.

‘Expose’ of Christian clinic has unintended results

An “expose” of a private, Minnesota based Christian counseling practice by an anti-change homosexual group has had an unintended effect. Pushed to the forefront by a presidential front runner —and a “gotcha” cadre of homosexuals in news rooms— change from homosexuality or sexual “reorientation” has become a recurring topic of discussion in the media, politics and religion. A recent CNN Belief Blog cited Charisma’s cover of homosexuality (which its done many times in the past) highlighting the story of a former lesbian. Senior editor Marcus Yoars said that therapy and counseling for homosexuals who want to change is a small part of what the church is doing to bring resolution to sexually broken men and women.

The latest to weigh in on the issue is prominent Southern Baptist theologian Albert Mohler who says that change from homosexuality is not impossible when Christ is in the mix.

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, concedes that therapy – the secular kind – is not likely to change a person. But there is hope when a person acknowledges sin and is redeemed by Christ.

“We will hold no hope for any sinner’s ability to change his or her own heart, and we will hold little hope for any secular therapy to offer more than marginal improvement in a sinner’s life,” he argued in his blog Tuesday.

“We hold full confidence in the power of the Gospel and of the reign of Christ within the life of the believer. We know that something as deeply entrenched as a pattern of sexual attraction is not easily changed, but we know that with Christ all things are possible.”

Mohler is weighing in on a debate that was reignited after a pro-gay group, Truth Wins Outs, accused Bachmann & Associates of showing “great antipathy towards gay and lesbian people” by practicing reparative therapy. The Christian counseling center, owned by Michele and Marcus Bachmann, was recently visited by TWO’s John Becker who posed as a Christian wanting to get rid of his homosexuality.

We’ve asserted this time and time again with evidence. The bible takes the lead in declaring that if any man be in Christ he is a new creation. Jesus himself said that with God all things are possible. We’ve also advised that if homosexuals do not want to change, the solution is simple: don’t go “undercover” with a false pretense to a private Christian counseling clinic which will tell you that you can change. Its just like changing the channel of a tv show you don’t want to watch.

In an article by the Christian Post, Mohler presented a strong biblical argument for change.

“The normalization of homosexuality simply cannot be accepted by anyone committed to biblical Christianity,” Mohler asserted

“To deny that sin is sin is to deny our need for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians cannot accept any teaching that minimizes sin, for it is the knowledge of our sin that points us to our need for atonement, salvation, and the forgiveness of that sin through the cross of Jesus Christ.”

Yet the “secular consensus” is that one’s pattern of sexual attraction is a given and to be considered normal; and “any effort to change an individual’s sexual orientation is essentially wrong and harmful.”

The Gospel of Jesus Christ says otherwise.

“Every sinner who comes by faith to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved knows the need for the redemption of our bodies – including our sexual selves. But those whose sexual orientation is homosexual face the fact that they also need a fundamental reordering of their sexual attractions. About this the Bible is clear,” Mohler argued.

Read Dr. Mohler’s powerful article “Reparative Therapy, homosexuality and the Gospel of Jesus Christ” for a full explanation of how orientation change is a kingdom issue, not a socio-political one. By contrast, the homosexual position most often parroted in the media (and apostate churches) is illogical, driven by emotionalism and spite and a product of political and social manipulation.

Tactics and Tricks

For years gay activists ignored former homosexuals with the hopes that no one would pay attention to our stories of change. When that didn’t work, active threats, intimidation and discrimination ensued. But despite enormous gains made by homosexuals, numerous men and women still want out of a lifestyle that is degrading and destructive emotionally, spiritually, sexually and relationally. This new tactic by gay activists  intended for the “expose” and subsequent media airplay to hold up the possibility of change up for public mockery. The homosexual president of the leading mental health organization quickly branded change from homosexuality as so “fringe” it was near the moon.

Its obvious the main goal of the anti-change group was publicity. It bragged about appearances on liberal media outlets in the wake of the faux controversy.

“The results of our investigation broke in The Nation magazine and ABC World News with Diane Sawyer. TWO spokespeople were interviewed by: ABC’s Nightline and Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, MSNBC’s Live with Al Sharpton and Hardball with Chris Mathews, The Ed Schultz Show, MSNBC News with Thomas Roberts and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. A dialogue about our investigation was aired on several other shows including CNN’s AC360, Comedy Central’s Colbert Report and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. On Sunday, The New York Times will discuss our investigation and on Tuesday [...]“

But God is moving despite the devices of the enemy. He uses what was meant for evil to bring glory and honor to himself and reach those who are seeking him for truth and deliverance.
