Rise of the Christian celebrity cult
In an era of nonstop religious entertainment and instant gratification, a new breed of Christian has been born. The name? Celebrity Christians. These court jesters come complete with “Christian” light acting skills, and just enough charisma and class to win over the weak and spiritually immature and in some cases even the strongest of bible readers. Their acceptance into the church and dominance of mainstream “Churchianity” only gives solid evidence to a greater problem. The complete absence of discernment among those who claim to follow Christ.
First, so that we’re all on the same page, let’s define discernment.
Discernment is defined as ” skill in understanding , grasping and comprehending ; the ability to recognize or identify as separate and distinct; perception , acumen , penetration , insight, discrimination. The capacity to distinguish and select the excellent , the appropriate or the true”.
Discernment uses the knowledge and practice of the truth in the Scriptures to develop an ability to objectively discern right from wrong (Psalm 119:66). Its imparted by the Holy Ghost first for the protection and benefit of the believer and secondly for the protection and benefit for the Body at large. Every believer should have basic discernment, while others are gifted (1 Cor 12) to distinguish between conflicting spiritual, moral and ethical situations which arise in the church. A good exhibition of discernment is King Solomon’s ruling with the two women and dead baby (1 Kings 3:16).
But discernment today has taken on a sort of taboo-like aura similar to it’s predecessor —and one of the most hated words found in the bible— “DOCTRINE”. Talk about discernment in a church today and watch the insults and hatred flow. You’ll quickly hear words like “legalist” and “Non-Loving”.
Followers of pop perversion
Let’s take for example Cleveland based pastor and trending hireling RA Vernon.
For his Easter Sunday message, Vernon titilated the itching ears of his sheeple with a message borrowed heavily from secular performer Cee-Lo’s song F U [video]. Vernon’s profanity overdraft is hardly original.
Either his pockets have been getting a little thin lately, or his mind really has been “given over” because any respectable pastor/shepherd with a solid handle of scripture would never disrespect the word of our risen Savior. Especially when we know the significance of the forgiveness that God has given us. The bible says:
“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with Him (Christ), having forgiven us all out trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14
Yet even after his gross mockery of God’s word, thousands of undiscerning sheeple still file into Vernon’s club.
Sin, the diabolical agent that fills the hearts of sinners and lures them into an eternity of punishment is seen as a joke now in most churches. When saints sin they call it making a “mistake” or having “issues”, rather than calling it what the word of God says:
“You shall defile also the covering of your carved images of silver, the ornament of your melted images of gold; thou shalt cast them away like an unclean cloth.” Isaiah 30:22
Sin to God should be thrown away like an unclean cloth. The Hebrew equivalent word for unclean cloth is the same as what describes a bloody cloth from a woman’s menstrual period. God sees sin as a bloody stink filled menstrual period pad. Yet we still engage in it, and then have the audacity to think we still have access to God But like Paul said: GOD FORBID!
And then there’s Celebrity “Christian” the newly appointed “King of Gospel Comedy” Steve Harvey. See previous GCMW coverage here . Harvey’s diseased language is far worse than Vernon’s, but he’s now a host on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Without any changes to his life, he is elevated to star status with a blank check to influence millions of Christians. The Apostle Paul warned us these days would come:
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:1-7
Paul tells us to understand that these types of people are going to start to surface. But He also told us what to do next:
“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:1-5
We are to preach so that the people would be stricken with a Godly grief over their sin. Don’t believe me?
“For even if I made you grieve with my letter, I do not regret it-though I did regret it, for I see that that letter grieved you, though only for a while. As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us.” 2 Corinthians 7:8-9
A preacher’s job is to preach the word of God so that people are:
1. Encouraged to learn the scriptures
2. Encouraged to continue steadfast in the faith
3. Grieved over their own sin which in turn produces repentance. Repentance refers to the desire to turn from sin and restore a fellowship with God.
And finally, take an active role bringing an end to the cult of celebrity in Christ’s church. He and he alone is worthy of worship and adoration.
New Book: Queer Things Happening to America
In this case, queer is never a good thing.
Charlotte based Coalition of Conscience founder Dr. Michael Brown appeared on Sid Roth’s television program, “It’s Supernatural” to talk about his new book “A Queer Thing Happened to America.” During the interview Brown revealed that no Christian publisher wanted to touch his book because of the fear that the homosexual community would come down on them hard and virtually cause them economic loss. One literary agent told him to change the title of the book because a publisher believed the title was to controversial. This eventually caused Brown to self- publish the book. It has been one of amazon.com’s top selling…and most controversial. Based on some of the comments from the customer review section this book definitely has edge.
In the interview, Dr. Brown touches on the subject that the homosexual agenda has impacted all facets of America life and driving American society more tolerant and accepting to homosexuality. Sadly, the church is following the lead of culture and not the Word of God.
In April, just a month after Dr. Brown interviewed with Sid Roth, the California Senate passed Senate Bill 58. This legislation would require California public schools to add gay history to its already overcrowded curriculm. This bill is now waiting to be approved by the California State Assembly. Prop 8: Spiritual Warfare in California Part 2

In part one of Prop 8 Spritual Warfare in California we covered the Principality of the city of San Francisco, and Powers in the San Francisco area. On this election day of California governmental races, where people are putting emphasis on flesh and blood candidates and propositions, we will take a deeper look at the spiritual warfare that is being raged in the state of California.
Spiritual Wickedness in High Places
Proposition 8 gained so much attention that most people didn’t even recognize that Proposition 4 did not pass in the November 2008 California Election. Proposition 4 would have prohibited that an abortion performed to a non-emancipated minor until 48 hours after a physician notified the minor’s parent, legal guardian or alternative adult family member. Had this proposition passed, it would have been added to the California State Constitution. However, it was voted down and minors have the right receive an abortion without parental consent.
California performs more abortions that any other state in America and is one of seventeen states that receives public funds for abortions to low-income women. The youth in California are deceived into believing that abortion is a form of birth control and not murder. Although teenagers do not require parental consent to have abortions, one needs to be 21 years old to drink in the state and 18 years old to buy cigarettes.
The majority of the votes for no on Proposition 4 and 8 come from region surrounding territory of the San Francisco area( Contra Costa County; Santa Clara County; Santa Cruz County; Alameda County; San Mateo County; Marin County; Sonoma County; Napa County; Yolo County) and Monterey County [source and here]. These are also the areas the Ohlone tribe once occupied.
There has been a connection between abortion and homosexual advocates within the state government of California. They fight against restrictions on abortions and pass a long list of pro-homosexual measures within the California Assembly [source].
Ironically, the goddess pagan worship has a historical demonic connection between homosexuality and child sacrifice. The goddess worship included the celebration of same-sex relationships, cultic sex (both heterosexual and homosexual), child sacrifice, and witchcraft. The San Francisco Bay Area has a history of not only homosexuality, but an extensive history of the occult.
The Church of Satan was started in San Francisco in June 6, 1966 by Anton Lavey. It promotes sexual lust over spiritual love and heavily promoted sexual perversion as a practice of Satanism. Lord Egan, a former member of Anton Lavey church, formed the First Church of Satan in the 1990s. He took up the satanic mantle after Lavey’s death in 1997. Egan admitted on the church’s website that he had a strong interest in pedophilia and subscribed to North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). NAMBLA represents men who want to have the age of sexual consent reduced so that may have sex with boys. San Francisco also has a well-established witch coven called “The Reclaiming Witches of San Francisco.” It is 501c3 Non-Profit Religious Organization that promotes the unity of the spirit and politics. It teaches and makes magic through workshops and classes as well as conducts public rituals. Overall it is estimated that there maybe as many as 50,000 pagans and witches living in the Bay Area. In addition, Southern California is home to countless psychic and tarot card reader businesses, and botanical stores in both southern and northern california that sell potions and charms.
The occult presence in the Bay Area fuels Spiritual wickedness in high places. This branch of the kingdom of darkness has charge over the spiritual and religious atmosphere. Child sacrifice (abortion) helps fuel demonic powers. And the demonic world requires blood sacrifice to invoke the spirits and favor from these demonic beings. A good example of this is in 2 Kings 3:27 when Moab was in the process of losing a battle against Israel. When King Mesha of Moab saw this, he sacrifice his eldest son to the Moabite, the god Chemosh. This was done to aid the Moabite army in winning the battle against the backslidden army of Israel. After King Mesha sacrificed his son, the battle turned in favor of Moab.
Furthermore the state is attempted to legalize marijuana through proposition 19 or the personal use of “pharmakeia.” In the Greek “pharmakeia” means sorcery or witchcraft. In the ancient pagan religious practice and even in third world nations of shamans and witchdoctors use drugs to get in contact with the spirit world . The definition for “pharmakeia” is the use of administering drugs, poisoning, sorcery (magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it).
It is very evident that the Bay Area has a strong atmosphere of the occult practice and these practices set a tone for demonic strongholds that can’t be denied. If you include all the occulted movies and television shows that come out of Hollywood, California that help assist the public interest of testing out the occult.
Rulers of Darkness of this World
Rulers of darkness of this world are evil spirits that control kingdoms and worldly business. In short, they attempt to control all facets of governments and businesses in the Earth that aren’t under the rule of the Almighty God. These rulers of darkness attempt to influence government officials and secular business people to align them with the satanic agenda.
The California state Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger opposed Prop 8 and told backers on same-sex marriage not to give up after the November 2008 Elections. Attorney General Jerry Brown urged the repeal of Prop 8.Both Schwarzenegger and Brown filed motion on August 6, 2010 that same-sex marriage resume immediately during the appeals of Prop 8 being overturned on August 4, 2010. Governor Schwarzenegger has signed California Senate Bill SB 54 which legally recognizes same-sex marriages performed elsewhere between June 16, 2008 to November 5th, 2008. The governor also signed a bill that honors slain homosexual activist Harvey Milk on his birthday, May 22nd. Milk was one of the first openly homosexual politicians in California. He served as the city of San Francisco’s supervisor before he and Mayor George Moscone were killed in 1978 by Dan White the former city supervisor who had recently resigned and wanted his job back. It was stated that Schwarzenegger might have felt the need to sign the bill because President Obama’s awarding Milk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and Sean Penn’s Academy Award winning performance in the movie Milk.
While Northern California is pushing anti-Christ legislation, Southern California’s entertainment is pushing its anti-Christ agenda in motion pictures and television. With motion pictures like “The Kids Are All Right”, “Brokeback Mountain”, and “Avatar”, “The Last Airbender”, “Paranormal Activity”, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” these occult theme motion pictures are all tools used to educate and seduce people into an alternative way of thinking and lifestyle. Within the television industry such show that push the occult theme are “The Gates”, “Vampire Diaries”, “Medium”, “Ghost Whispers.” They help assist the indoctrination of the occult into unsuspecting people. Television shows also promote the homosexual lifestyle like. Those are, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Modern Family”, “Nurse Jackie”, and 90210. The television industry pushes quite a bit of immoral things in front of people. Is it by accident? Anton LaVey stated in his book, “The Devil’s Notebook” that the television set is the satanic family altar because television is used as medium to promulgate Satanism more and more. Satanism in fact, is the worship of man. Lavey interviewed entertainers, newscasters and clergy of TV Religion who use the cathode-ray pulpit to spread the “word.” Lavey knew the impact that television and the movies played in bringing America’s moral value system down. The entertainment industry is multi-billion dollar industry in which allows evil people to produce a lot of filth for the kingdom of darkness. But at what cost to only lose their soul? Government is legislating ungodly laws and the entertainment industry is the propaganda machine used to promote ungodliness through the airwaves.
Conclusion
We’re living in the last days and Jesus Christ is soon to come. Just as in the days of Noah Jesus said these things would happen. In Noah’s day was the only time other than now; where same-sex marriage was taking place, among sorcery, violence, abortion, murder, and all kinds of gross wickedness was taking place daily. Despite living in a wicked age, we must continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise with love and compassion, praying and fasting, being steadfast in the Word of God, live a holy sanctified lifestyle, and evangelize this dying world till Jesus comes back. The body of Christ must fight the good fight of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, put on the whole armor of God that were able stand against wiles of the devil in these last and evil days.
Prop 8: Spiritual Warfare in California Part 1

SAN FRANCISCO – Well, the state of California is back in the news with its same-sex marriage debate. San Francisco Gay Conservative Republican Federal Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional. The proposition did not allow same-sex couples to marry. This is the second time that Californians voted on a proposition to amend marriage as between man and woman only, and to later have the judicial system overturn the majority votes to amend traditional marriage. The battle of state of California was not to learn whether or not homosexuals should have the right to marry. The battle actually began within the court system after a three judge panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling that imposed a stay on Walker’s ruling to overturn Prop 8.
So who and what are we battling? Are we at battle with Judge Vaughn Walker? Are we battling the gay and lesbian activists that push for same-sex marriage? Is our fight against same–sex couples that wish to marry? The answer would be a resounding no! Why, you ask? Because our battle is not against flesh and blood. It is against evil spirits in the spirit world. It is a battle in the unseen world that manifests itself in the natural world. California has been in a spiritual battle for a long time and most churches have taken the route of the flesh to deal with situation. They simply encourage their congregations to vote on these propositions. I’m not saying that voting is not a good and honorable thing to do. However our churches on a large part fail to deal with the spiritual dynamics state of California. The state possesses some serious demonic strongholds! On December 9, 2009 GMCW posted an online article entitled, In Vallejo, CA Spiritual Warfare Comes to the Forefront. This article shed light upon the spiritual battle in Vallejo, California. The gay community was upset over comments Mayor Osby Davis made during an interview with the New York Times. I believe its a spiritual conspiracy to push California to the forefront for same-sex marriage because the state is a major trendsetter. California is the only state in the United States to have measures on traditional marriage challenged and overturn twice within the last ten years. I believe the goal is to push Prop 8 all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in hopes that the decision will be overturned and make it illegal for other states to ban same-sex marriage. As a result the floodgates for same-sex marriage will be legalized throughout the United States.
The Prince of San Francisco and Powers
The Apostle Paul said that we wrestle not against flesh blood, but a hierarchy of evil spirits with a governmental structure to carry out evil within the world system (Ephesians 6:12).
Within the kingdom of darkness the governmental structure goes as follows:
- Satan as the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)
- Principalities which are devils that have oversight over nations and geographic areas.
- Rulers of darkness of this world – demonic forces that control kingdoms and Satan’s worldly business.
- Powers- evil spirits who control people and areas. They want to possess humans.
- Spiritual wickedness in high places – evil spirits in the heavenlies who have charge over religion and spiritual atmosphere.
In California the city of San Francisco has strong political ties within the state with a strong core of homosexual activist that push their own agenda. San Francisco is also known as the Gay Capital or Gay Mecca of the world. Why? This is because the because of the spiritual principality of the Ohlone Native Americans that once populated the area. The prince of this area ruled for thousands of years. Their principle religion was Shamanism. They believed that the tribe’s shamans possessed both male and female spirits (called “berdache/ joya”). They also believed in a third gender(joya) and promoted witchcraft and same-sex love within the tribe. The ancient principality of the areas controlled sexual perversion and witchcraft. When Spain colonized Mexico they begin to establish Catholic missions within the Mexican territories. Several missions were established in the California territory. Missionaries began to realize that some of the tribe’s people that appeared to be female were actually men that dressed and conducted themselves as females. Eventually the missionaries abolished the practice of berdache/joya. However, they did not abolish the spirit that was behind it.
When the gold rush began in California around 1848, gold was not the only thing that awaited young men seeking to get rich. That same perverse spirit that ruled and controlled the Ohlone tribe was lying in wait for new flesh and blood to control. By water, the voyage between New York and California was between 4 to 12 months. During this time it was not uncommon for there to be intercourse between seafarers. The city of San Francisco was populated with approximately 90% men. Female companionship was available but cost between $4,000 – $8,000 per night in today’s dollars. There just weren’t enough eligible women in early San Francisco to go around. In response to this reality, some of the men agreed to take on the roles of women by becoming dance partners of other men at clubs and bars.
The gay population began to pick up even more in San Francisco during World War II when the armed forces sought out and dishonorably discharge homosexuals from the armed services. The homosexual men who were discharged were processed on base in San Francisco. Many of these men fell in love with the beauty of San Francisco and stayed. Ever since World War II the gay and lesbian population has rapidly increased.
In the 1970s arose Castro Street in the Castro District, many gays moved into the area and started their own businesses. They begin to develop a political base and power within the community. In 1977 Harvey Milk became the Mayor of Castro and was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. He was the city’s first openly gay elected official. Today, times Castro has the highest per capita gay population in the world and is the center of local gay politics.
The prince of San Francisco is effective in his oversight and influence. The evil spirits that control people first transferred themselves from the Ohlone Indians to the male settlers of the gold rush. From there, the spirits transferred themselves to the settlers from the World War II men who were dishonorably discharged. And now they control the people who live in San Francisco. Jesus, in Mark 5:9-13, cast out the unclean spirits called “…Legions…for they were many.” Those that were cast out begged Jesus not to send them out of the area. Instead they went into the pigs that were nearby. More than likely these unclean spirits were Powers that controlled things. In the kingdom of darkness evil spirits/Powers control areas and want to possess people. Those legions of spirits that possessed the man in Mark 5, not only controlled the man, but also controlled the area. It was for that reason that they did not want surrender that area. Just as in the San Francisco era the Powers from the Ohlone Indians continue to control the area and possess some of the people.

Steve Harvey promotes “90 day fornication rule” on TBN

Actor, comedian, author, and radio personality Steve Harvey made an appearance on the Trinity Broadcast Network’s (TBN) show, Praise the Lord. Airing May 11th, 2010 with Paula White as the host, Harvey talked about his book, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.” He specifically discussed the “90 day rule.” This rule tells women to put a man on probation before giving away any “benefits.” Harvey went on to state that he knows that the Bible says a person should wait until s/he gets married to have sex and he agrees with that whole-heartedly. But he states that since people are not going to wait until marriage to have sex, they should at least wait for 90 days. Paula White wholeheartedly agreed with him and didn’t correct him at all! The crowd laughed in agreement. The Bible warns us in Jude 18-19, “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”
First, this interview is disturbing because it takes place on Christian television! It would have been somewhat acceptable if it were aired on a secular station or radio show. The nature of Harvey’s statement would have been more understandable and expected. We as believers could have just passed his statements off as worldly wisdom with a roll of the eyes upward.
Secondly, his statement boldly goes against the Word of God. God doesn’t grade sin on a curve. He doesn’t look at certain situations and say “…ok I’ll let you slide by on that one because you can’t help yourself.” This is a prime example of cheap grace. God is a holy God. The Word says, “Be ye holy for I am Holy.” (Leviticus 11:45).
Harvey’s book may make some good points for women. But is his book’s wisdom of God or earthly? James 3:15 says, “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but earthly, sensual, devilish.” The book my offer some good advice for women to follow, but telling them they can’t abstain from fornication is earthly, sensual, and downright demonic. His advice is within the guidelines of the world system. Godly wisdom within the kingdom of God falls under James 3:17 which says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy, and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” When a person walks in the wisdom of God, they will first be pure, have good fruit. The good fruit a person shows from abstaining from fornication will manifest as two parts of the fruit of the Spirit: longsuffering (endurance and patience) and temperance( having control or mastery over one’s desires or passions).
The ironic part of this interview was Harvey began to sound like the serpent in the Garden of Eden. He basically tells others what the Word of God says and agrees with it, “Abstain from sex before marriage!” But then slyly adds, “hardly any Christians keep the Word of God anyway. So since we all know you’re not going to abstain, its okay to do it…just wait 90 days until you do.” He speaks as if the Word has loopholes in it. These types of comments are just like those of the serpent when he told Eve that she would be as gods (Genesis 3:5) deciding for herself what is good and evil instead of leaning on understanding of the Word of God and keeping His Word. This type of nature is rooted in Satanism. Aleister Crowley’s, Book of the Law states “Do as thou wilt, is the whole book of the law, which means I can do as I please and I don’t have to line up with the Word of God.” Even in Anton Lavey nine satanic commandments of the Satanic Bible, the first commandment is that Satan represents indulgences instead of abstinence. First Thessalonians 4:3 states, “For this the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.” The key word is to abstain from fornication, not to indulge in fornication by giving a man sexual benefits after a 90-day probation period. This is outside the will of God.
One may ask Shofarsound what is the big deal? It just fornication! God understands I have needs that must be met. Everybody in my church is having sex and they aren’t married. They still sing in the choir. They’re preaching. They’re teaching. They’re still serving on the usher board. Does that mean you follow the broad road to destruction (Matthew 7:13)? If everyone jumps off the bridge are you going jump also? I don’t think so!
Biblical View on Fornication
The Old Testament viewed premarital sex as a capital offense against one’s future spouse. This was unlike the Gentile nations that condoned premarital sex. The Greek word for fornication is porneuo, which means to act like a harlot, indulge in unlawful lust of either sex, or practice idolatry – fornication. Fornication is idolatry, because that person you sleep with isn’t your spouse. You’re bowing down to get in the bed with your idol instead of obeying the Word of God. It is idolatry when an individual places a person they’re consistently fornicating with over the Word. First Samuel 15:23 states, “stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
That person you’re sleeping with is an idol in your heart and it is evident that the Holy Spirit doesn’t reign supreme in your life. Every time that person calls you jump up and run to him/her. The next thing you know, you’re in the sack. The Holy Spirit calls out to you in order to lead and guide you into all truth. That person means no good for your spirituality. Instead of listening, you turn a deaf ear to the voice of Godly wisdom.
First Corinthians 6:18-20 says, “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. When you fornicate you desecrate your temple. You sin against your own body. If you continue in the sin of fornication you will die. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. You may eventually earn a sexually transmitted disease that attacks your physical body.
Fornication Destroys the Soul
Sexual sins destroys the soul (Proverbs 6:32). The Greek word for soul is called psuche, which derives psychology study of the soul. Your soul is made up of the intellect, will, memory, emotions, and imagination. First example your involve in fornication, Your intellect or reasoning will tell you that you’re in love with him or her so its ok to have sex before marriage. You essentially rely on your own understanding instead of the Word of God. Secondly, after you intellectualize being in a sexual relationship your will is given unto your carnal desires. Thirdly, you will have memories of the good and bad things of the illicit relationship. Why do you think someone can be in the act of intercourse with one person and call out another person’s name? It is because the soul connection of the memory is still there. The person is comparing their present sexual experience with a former. The fourth example is the emotions. You develop the emotion of bitterness. Because of your memory, you remember all the bad relationships you had in the past. A person develops bitterness and emotional detachment. So when man or woman of God comes to you, your’re damage goods from all the bad relationships you had in the past. You’re unable to make that godly connection. Lastly is the imagination. The enemy uses the imagination to keep sexual perverse thoughts in your head and to prevent you from being obedient to the will of God.
So whether 90 days or 20 years, if you’re not married you need to abstain from fornication. We all must keep in mind that fornicators shall not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9; Galatians 5:19-21). Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Keep His commandments and the Holy Spirit will give you keeping power to overcome the devil, the world, and your flesh. So will you listen to the Word of God or Steve Harvey?
GCMW transforms ABC News report
ABC News quoted from GCMW writer Jerald Washington (shofarsound) in its story on transgenders and the new VH1 show “Transform Me”.
Jason [Roberts] had come up with an idea for a new makeover show randomly one night while filming girlfriend Poon, a makeup artist and actress, making up some of her girlfriends.
“He said, ‘You know what? This would make a great show,” Poon said.
VH1 agreed and ordered up eight episodes. The sixth episode airs tonight at 10:30. Miclette said the show is starting to gain a following. The numbers of viewers doubled between the fourth and fifth episodes.
On a recent blog posted on the Web site Gay Christian Movement Watch, a writer wrote that “Transform Me” is carrying out a gay agenda because it makes “gays look good and utilizes the medium of television entertainment as a homosexual/transgender evangelistic tool.”
Are you a transgender and you want real transformation? Individuals who want to transform their exterior can expect to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars, but Jesus Christ offers transformation free of charge, plus free lifelong maintenance as long as you are his disciple.
What’s more, true transformation happens inside out. A rhinoplasty body which still encases a sinful mind isn’t transformation at all, its just an expensive makeover. The bible tells us that if we want lasting transformation we have to free our mind through God’s word and the rest will follow:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Romans 12:1,2
You don’t have to pay one single penny to get the wonderful transformation God has for you.
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. 3Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, Isaiah 55:1-4 ESV
Why not let Christ transform you and keep the body he gave you.
