The gay church: satan’s hot new trend
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a man is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6-11
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Dead roses: the seduction of American Christianity
You have played the whore with many lovers; and would you return to me? says the Lord. Look up to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been lain with? By the waysides you have sat waiting for lovers, like a nomad in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your whoring and wickedness. Jeremiah 3: 1-2
Call it the 50 Shades of Gray, Religious Version. Or maybe it should be referred to as Church of the Living Dead. Either way, the American Church has fallen/jumped into the pit of immorality and is showing no signs of wanting to get out. Behaving more like a dog returning to its vomit instead of a bride waiting on her betrothed, the AC has left its first love. Like the foolish Galatians, the American Church has been bewitched and is under a heavy delusion.
Just one of the many lovers she is whoring with under the green trees of politics and compromise is the homosexual movement. Perhaps a sign of the steadily weakening resolve of the church to standfast is Charisma Magazine printing Canadian liberal theologian Ronald J. Siders oped with a deceptive headline attached. Christian media is in on the game as well. Sider is the president of Evangelicals for Social Action, which develops biblical solutions to social and economic problems. Actually, ESA is progay. And thats not a biblical solution to the sin of homosexuality.
Have parts of the church treacherously partnered with homosexuals to attempt to destroy God’s creative marriage design and rebuild it in their own image and likeness? Most certainly. But note the word attempt. Because despite their best efforts, they will miserably fail. Ask any of the people who attempted to build the tower of Babel.
Siders argues correctly that because of the partnership of deceived (aka inclusion) Christians with homosexuals, three key threats will materialize and directly impact the institutional church.
1. It would weaken the connection between marriage and procreation and the connection between biological parents and their biological children. Almost every court case supporting gay marriage explicitly downgrades the role of procreation in marriage. In the Massachusetts Supreme Court’s decision bringing in gay marriage, the court explicitly said the state was indifferent to family structure; that is, society has no preference for children growing up with both biological parents!
2. The embrace of gay marriage will almost certainly change what is taught in public schools. If in law gay marriages are equal to marriages of husbands and wives, then the schools will certainly begin to teach that to all our children as the proper view for every good citizen.
3. There will be a variety of pressures to silence people who believe homosexual practice is sin. Virtually all legal experts agree that if the law sanctions gay marriage, there will be a colossal confrontation between religious liberty and “gay rights.” Through licensure and government grants a wide variety of faith-based organizations will face growing pressure to abandon their stand on homosexual practice and gay marriage.
And he cites (as we have numerous times on GCMW) that homosexuals and their political allies are lying about exempting the church from gay marriage laws. Its just a deceptive shell game.
As Marc Stern of the American Jewish Congress has warned, once the law recognizes gay marriage, there will be court cases against religious institutions (colleges, universities, camp grounds, hospitals, adoption agencies, and so on) that refuse to treat legally married same-sex couples the same as married heterosexuals.
Similarly, it’s likely that government will slowly withdraw benefits from faith-based organizations that believe they shouldn’t treat legally married same-sex partners the way they treat husbands and wives. Gay activists will undoubtedly argue in the courts that government dare not “subsidize discrimination” and therefore government funds must not flow to faith-based organizations that oppose gay marriage or refuse to hire persons engaged in homosexual actions.
The issue in Sider’s sleight of hand article is not his accurate description of the problem, but the unbiblical “solutions” he posits. For example, Sider’s wolf skin is exposed when he says the solution to the homosexual issue is redesignation.
“First, we can demonstrate our desire to respect and treat gay people fairly. One significant way to do that would be to support the legal recognition of civil unions. (This may actually reduce promiscuity as well.)”
Beware the brokers of seduction.
One commenter thankfully came right out and said it.
Ronald Sider is a far left-wind socialist who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He is about as “evangelical” as Jeremiah Wright — just more smooth and diplomatic, and deceptive, in the promotion of his agenda. This article is a good example of the smooth, slick way he promotes his left-wing agenda, posing as an “evangelical/charismatic.” I can see why someone who doesn’t know who Ronald Sider is or his past would be taken in. This typical ad hominem argument is typical of satan himself — “Because of your failures in this area, you have no right to speak in THAT area.” The enemy, the “accuser of the brethren,” constantly attempts to silence our voice and render us powerless by pointing out past failings or current weaknesses. There are a number of fallacies in the slick article above. Here are just a couple:
1. While the statistic is constantly presented — to beat Christians down — that Christians divorce at the same rate as non-Christians, this statistic is so misleading as to in actuality be used mostly as a lie.
2. Those who are on the frontlines defending our society against the onslaught of the influence of homosexual perversion and it’s attempt to justify itself by moral equivalence to normal marriage are NOT the ones committing adultery and getting divorced. Even if it were true that adultery abounds and half of all Christians who marry will eventually divorce — which it is NOT– that still does NOT characterize the lives of those who have been and continue to be true champions giving their very lives to defending the moral foundations of our nation for future generations. Of course, the likes of Ronald Sider and his comrades in the leftist media, love to expose the occasion leader caught in moral failure as yet another ad hominem argument against the whole Body of Christ.
Where are they now? False prophet edition
Remember discredited gay Bishop Jim Swilley, the once upon a time pastor of so labeled Atlanta area Church in the now? Swilley caused major upheaval, division and the breakup of his congregation by claiming that he was forced to announce his homosexuality to save so called young gay kids from the brink of suicide. Swilley immediately became a poster boy du jour for the liberal media who loved that he was a self proclaimed pentecostal.
Swilley’s announcement sent shock waves of fear through other area false teachers who had cavorted with him. His fellow in the closet comrade Bishop David Huskins tried to distance himself from the sinking ship by saying that Swilley was unfit for leadership. Apparently, Swilley must have reminded Huskins of his own secret unfittedness causing Huskins to deny he had called Swilley unfit.
So what is he up to now? Has Swilley (who refers to himself as Jim in the now) saved hundreds of gay kids like he claimed for his mission? Hardly. The only thing Jim Swilley has done is emerge as another run of the mill gay themed religionista tipping around Atlanta’s social scene with his sex partner. Take a look right here. That’s really what he always wanted was to satisfy the cravings of his flesh.
Unfortunately for Swilley and his profane wife, homosexuals didn’t reward him with cash for his betrayal of the people he manipulated into thinking he was a real pastor. Thus, Church in the Now no longer exists (a victim of foreclosure). That freed up Swilley to be “no longer afraid” whatever that means. You can read GCM Watch coverage of Swilley’s insanity here and here.
So much for saving gay kids from suicide.
Bizarre gay christian cleric prays to the “erotic Christ”
This is why homosexuality should have never been taken off the DSM. This is unquestionably demented, demonic and grossly obscene. And that doesn’t even began to describe the demonizing of Jesus gay christians engage in or support but GCM Watch has it all documented. Its unbelieveable that any person —except one with a debilitating mental psychosis— would refashion God as a sex object.
An officially sanctioned representative of the MCC religious organization would and the darkness is both stunning and predictable.
For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Jude 3, 4
In a written piece claiming to “honor gay and lesbian spirituality”, Kittredge Cherry registers a “prayer” which appears to be a cross between some ancient cultic temple idolatry sex slavery incantation and 21st century homosexualized religion.
“Rainbow Christ, you embody all the colors of the world. Rainbows serve as bridges between different realms: Heaven and Earth, east and west, queer and non-queer. Inspire us to remember the values expressed in the rainbow flag of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community.
Red is for life, the root of spirit. Living and Self-Loving Christ, you are our Root. Free us from shame, and grant us the grace of healthy pride so we can follow our own inner light. With the red stripe in the rainbow, we give thanks that God created us just the way we are.
Orange is for sexuality, the fire of spirit. Erotic Christ, you are our Fire, the Word made flesh. Free us from exploitation, and grant us the grace of mutual relationships. With the orange stripe in the rainbow, kindle a fire of passion in us.
Yellow is for self-esteem, the core of spirit. Out Christ, you are our Core. Free us from closets of secrecy, and give us the guts and grace to come out. With the yellow stripe in the rainbow, build our confidence.
Homosexuals adamantly claim that what the bible condemns is religious prostitution, not the “loving, committed, monogamous gay couples” (all 9 of them) that just appeared on the social landscape about 1.6 hours ago.
Lest you think that Cherry is a fringe gay religious loon, think again. This cult priestess was ordained by Metropolitan Community Churches, a gay Christian denomination, and is its National Ecumenical Officer. One of her main duties was promoting dialogue on homosexuality at the National Council of Churches (USA) and the World Council of Churches.
And Cherry has a dumptruck load of vileness and vomit gushing out of her mouth. An officially sanctioned cleric of the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), she’s “re-imagined” Jesus in ways that would make even a foul mouthed sailor blush with shame. See our story here.

United Methodists reject confusing gay amendment addition
After intense debate and voting, the United Methodist church officially rejected an addition that would have in essence said the church “agreed to disagree” on homosexuality. Instead, sixty-one percent of the voting delegates decided that they would not approve of affirming homosexual conduct among its members and clergy. The vote means the church’s official position is that homosexuality is sinful.
Previously, some members of the denomination had argued that, in order to keep its membership from declining, the Methodist Church needed to compromise on the issue of homosexuality.
Two amendments were in consideration during this morning’s UMC conference, which draws Methodists from around the world to discuss church issues. One petition sought to alter UMC’s statement on homosexuality in its Book of Discipline, and the other to acknowledge as a body to “agree to disagree” on the issue of homosexuality.
The Social Principles section of United Methodist teachings on sexuality in the Book of Discipline states: “The United Methodist Church does not condone the practice of homosexuality and considers this practice incompatible with Christian teaching;” and “Although all persons are sexual beings whether or not they are married, sexual relations are affirmed only with the covenant of monogamous, heterosexual marriage.”
An amendment to these statements would have added the sentence: “As a denomination, we are conflicted regarding homosexual expressions of human sexuality.” [source The Christian Post]
“We allow homosexuals to change the church rather than the church to change homosexuals. It is not true that God created gays and lesbians the way they are. I refuse to accept that. Because God is a loving God and He cannot have created something that will make that person suffer. If we say no (to the amendment) it doesn’t me we don’t love that person. I stand to say that the grace of God is for all people but the grace of God does not allow us to sin,” said one African preacher.
Dr. LT Campbell a delegate from Arkansas said, “There is nothing happy about being gay, I don’t even know how those terms became associated. John Wesley would be sadly disappointed at where we have come and to associate the civil rights movement with gay rights is a tragedy and an insult to the men and women who died for freedom. They didn’t have a choice in their color, you have a choice and I’m asking you to choose Christ! With that Madam chair I yield back the balance of my time. “
Ebony Magazine and the parable of the pig
Ebony Magazine, that once great and shining example of Black media royalty has fallen and fallen hard. Sad to report but Ebony Magazine has devolved into a cheap reality show in print, dredging the country’s dark recesses for circus-like anomalies which will titillate the waning interest of those who once admired it.
To that end, consider if you will, this 21st century parable.
A man who owned a pig took it and hung a neon sign around the pig’s neck which read “I am a swan”. Everywhere the pig went, the man had him make sounds like a swan, while insistently pointing at the sign around its neck. Even though people knew the pig was a pig, after seeing the pig wearing the sign and insistently pointing at it, they began to just accept it as a weird sign of the times. As soon as there was general consensus that the pig was a “swan”, the man got the pig a media spot because he was somewhat of an anomaly. Real swans knew he wasn’t a swan. They could tell just by looking at the pig and noting the distinct differences between the two. But because the pig kept insisting it was a swan, he gained a following. That made for good “reality show” media. Once the pig got a media spot, it began saying that it was always a swan but that other swans discriminated against it and it wanted to make sure other pigs who were really swans, never experienced the kind of discrimination it did.
That’s where Ebony Magazine comes into the picture. They gave the pig with the sign around its neck a spot. His name is Darian Aaron, a homosexual blogger/gaychristian from Montgomery, AL.
I was raised in a Southern Baptist church just outside of Montgomery, Ala.,the kind of congregation that worshipped with traditional hymns. I definitely considered myself a Christian-both then, and even after I came out.
I knew I was gay around age 7, the year I had a crush on a boy who sat behind me in school. Even as I felt the attraction, I knew I couldn’t talk about it. In my Bible Belt community, I’d heard plenty of anti-homosexual stories, and I didn’t know anyone who was openly gay. If I had mentioned my attraction, I would have been shunned. My feelings were also at odds with what I was taught as a Christian: Being gay is a sin. Whenever I heard that message, I questioned it, because something in my core told me it wasn’t true.
At 16, I told my mother and sister that I was gay. We seldom talked about it after that revelation because it was an uncomfortable topic. That same year, I came to a crossroad in my spiritual journey. A music minister from a church in Montgomery visited our congregation; when I heard him play a contemporary style of Christian music on the organ, it made me crave a closer connection with God. So I asked him about his church. After a visit, I discovered that it was progressive and a place that seemed to welcome gay people. After a couple of years of alternating between my home church and this new one, I became a member of the Montgomery church. Attending my new church was like having a weight lifted off my chest. I was free to commune with God as a whole human being. I could bring all of who I was to the altar and really worship Him. The whole experience deepened my relationship with Christ.
Over time, it became clear to me that religion and following every word of the Bible [GCMW: Jesus said man should live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mt 4:4]to the letter wouldn’t be my gateway to a deeper understanding of who God is. I’d only get that through prayer and spiritual communion with Him. That means that I’m in a good place with God, and rather than living by dogma, I choose to live by spirit. I’ve seen how vile Christians can be towards gays, and that’s not who Jesus was. We are the very people that Christ would have walked alongside.
In 2005, I finally came out to my father, and when I did, he said he’d always known I was gay. I’d waited so long to tell him because I feared how he would view me as a man, as his son. I was also afraid that he’d reject me in a world that’s already hostile toward Black men. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded: My dad and family have been amazing. Spirituality shouldn’t hurt. When we go to church to worship God as gay Christians, we shouldn’t walk away feeling bruised and battered. My path has shown me a great alternative: church communities that welcome and even celebrate same-gender loving people.
There are numerous examples of piggish thinking in Aaron’s testimony.
Like the book of Jude notes (verse 4), this story represents ungodly people, “who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” (vs 4). It eschews the biblical standards on sexual behavior (for obvious, self-serving reasons) in favor of “prayer and spiritual communion”. Thats an old, regurgitated heresy called antinomianism. Taken from Greek: anti nomos “against the law”. In this case its against God’s laws regarding sexual conduct. A belief which manifests in several different forms but mainly exalts one’s personal experience or ” the spirit” over scripture. You can also see the itching ear syndrome in Aaron’s testimony. Faced with unyeilding truth, gay christians retreat to their own “affirming churches” heaping teachers unto themselves who will make them feel “affirmed” with preprogrammed lies.
Aaron’s blog (you can google it for confirmation) contains the typical homosexual fare: pornography, lust, lies, perversion and garden variety confusion. If he is representative of the gay christian movement, we can reasonably conclude that gay christians can commit fornication, adultery, lie, watch porn, promote porn, engage in idolatry, deny the authority of the scriptures, despise truth and encourage marriage perversion. And still be a christian. At least that’s what the sign hanging around their neck says. And the man — their owner— keeps insistently pointing at the sign.
